Community Development and Facilitation Skills is very important for Field Officer of partners to work effectively with individual and group beneficiaries in CLIMAD target area such as Livestock Farmer Network (LFN), Vet Association Saving Group, and Village Animal Health Worker (VAHWs) through training, coaching and mentoring

COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of training, the participants will:
  • Understand about the concept of community development and facilitation skill;
  • Gain capacity and confidence to work with community; and
  • Know-how to transfer the knowledge and techniques skill related to especially livestock to community effectively.

TRAINER PROFILE

Mr. Keam Han, Trainer for Communication and Facilitation Skills.  Mr. Keam is a holder of Master Degree on Rural Development and Natural Resource Management, Bachelor degree on Forestry Science. He has had more than nine-year experience in training capacity building and working across level including national and local community, facilitation, project management, and natural resources management. Currently, Mr. Kem Han is the Provincial Operation Advisor (Land Allocation for Social and Economic Development Programme), NCDD/MoI, where he provides coaching and support on project operation to the provincial and district working group, training capacity Development, M&E and Social and Environmental Safeguards. For the training skills, Mr. Keam has been involving in preparing training design and Implement, training curriculum development, poster development, conducing workshop, and facilitating training of trainers.

Mr. YOS Chanthana holds M.Sc. in Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management and bachelor in Fisheries. Mr. Chanthana does not only have specialization in Fisheries, but he also has knowledge of practical research and project management. He has a wide range of no-less-than-10-year experience as consultant and researcher with national and local agencies. He has been project manager, project evaluator, head of research, and consultant for many projects both international and national. Besides being a project manager, researcher, and consultant, he is also teaching Master degree class in various local universities. Currently, Mr. Chanthana is a research manager of EDI and a project consultant for various local and international NGOs. Besides delivering training courses related to project management, he also a trainer of research methodologies. His experience in social research and project management enables his core training contents more practical and effective.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The training course is specially designed by our practitioners for the benefits of people who are working in community development for local and international NGOs. Also, the course is for any field staff that has not yet been trained as facilitators or wants to improve more on the facilitation skills.
