Position: Pre-Award Scientific Grants Office Intern (Institut Pasteur du Cambodge)__Deadline:15-October

The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-profit research institution established in 1953. IPC is a scientific research institution recognized as being of public utility, placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the scientific and technical responsibility of Institut Pasteur. 

Recruitment conditions:

• Languages: Khmer and English, with a very good level of English required.
• Position: Full-time
• Contract: 6-month contract, with possible extension for another 6 months.
• Start date: As soon as possible

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess funding opportunities aligned with IPC’s scientific priorities and strategic objectives.
• Improve and update Grants Office databases to support funding intelligence, proposal tracking, and institutional reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of scientific, administrative, and compliance components of grant applications.
• Collect, organize, and format information from research teams for proposals, concept notes, reports, and institutional summaries.
• Map research themes, funders, calls, and strategic opportunities relevant to infectious diseases, public health, and global health.
• Support partner and funder mapping to strengthen project development and collaboration opportunities.
• Contribute to the improvement and development of pre-award tools, templates, and SOPs.
• Education: Student or graduate in life sciences, public health, biomedical sciences, epidemiology, microbiology, immunology, or a related field.

• Good understanding of scientific writing, research methods, and project documentation
• Interest in research funding, proposal development, and multicultural team coordination
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to synthesize information clearly

Personal qualities: Dynamic, eager to learn, enthusiastic, and comfortable working within a cross-functional scientific and administrative team.
