Roles and Responsibilities:
- Deliver Practical Sound Post-Production Training
- Deliver lessons using a hands-on approach (80% practical, 20% theory)
- Teach key areas:
- Dialogue editing and audio cleanup
- Sound design and effects layering
- ADR and Foley recording techniques
- Audio mixing and balancing
- Final export and delivery formats
- Demonstrate real workflows using Pro Tools or equivalent software
- Adapt teaching methods to different student skill levels
2- Develop & Update Industry-Relevant Curriculum
- Design lesson plans and training modules for sound post-production
- Ensure content reflects current TVC and film industry practices
- Structure courses following real workflow stages:
- Audio preparation
- Editing
- Sound design
- Mixing
- Final delivery
- Continuously improve training materials based on industry trends and feedback
3- Supervise Student Projects & Production Workflows
- Guide students through hands-on projects and exercises
- Simulate real production environments with deadlines and teamwork
- Supervise student work on:
- Dialogue editing
- Sound effects and design
- Mixing sessions
- Ensure students follow professional practices:
- Session organization
- File naming and storage
- Version control
- Delivery standards
4- Assess Student Performance & Support Development
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and practical tests
- Provide clear, constructive feedback on technical and creative work
- Identify learning gaps and support improvement
- Encourage students to reach industry-ready skill level
- Support student motivation, confidence, and career preparation
5- Manage Classroom Environment & Contribute to School Activities
- Maintain discipline and promote professional behavior and punctuality
- Act as a role model in teamwork, responsibility, and work ethics
- Provide basic counselling and guidance to students when needed
- Participate in Film School activities such as:
- Productions and student projects
- School events and collaborations
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Sound, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sound post-production (TVC, film, documentary, or digital content)
- Experience working in project-based or fast-paced production environments preferred
- Teaching or training experience is an advantage
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Workspace, email)
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and manage students effectively
- Proficiency in Pro Tools or equivalent audio software
- Dialogue editing and sound cleanup
- Sound design and layering ADR and Foley recording
- Audio mixing and balancing
- Basic on-set sound recording
- Understanding of full sound post-production workflow from edit to final delivery
- Ability to guide students through practical production processes
- Ability to adapt teaching to different student levels
