The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s information systems, servers, and POS platforms to ensure smooth and secure operations across all departments. This role focuses on system reliability, timely technical support, and continual improvement of IT infrastructure and performance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- IMS System Support
- Maintain and troubleshoot the company’s IMS (Inventory Management System) to ensure accurate and real-time data.
- Coordinate with system vendors for upgrades, bug fixes, and feature improvements.
- Provide user training and support to ensure efficient use of IMS.
- Server & Network Management
- Manage company servers, including backups, data storage, and security configurations.
- Monitor network performance, ensure stable connectivity, and handle IP, router, and firewall management.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and system updates.
- POS System Maintenance
- Maintain and support the company’s POS system across branches or outlets.
- Troubleshoot POS hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure daily data synchronization and proper integration with accounting or IMS systems.
- General IT Support
- Provide first-line support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Maintain IT equipment inventory (PCs, printers, CCTV, routers, etc.).
- Install and configure new hardware and software when required.
- Data Security & Backup
- Implement and monitor data backup and recovery procedures.
- Ensure all systems are protected with updated antivirus and access control policies.
- Support cybersecurity awareness and compliance among employees.
- System Improvement
- Assist in planning and implementing IT-related improvement projects.
- Recommend and test new technologies or systems that can increase efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- At least experience in IT system administration or technical support for 2 to 3 years
