The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 300 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 10 nationalities and includes 6 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training.
The lnstitut Pasteur du Cambodge is recruiting one full time Laboratory Technician within the Malaria Research Unit.

Position Overview:
The Laboratory Technician will play a key role for performing essential laboratory tests in supporting the Malaria Research Unit at the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC).
Recruitment conditions:
- Language: English
- Position: Full-time.
- Contract: The initial contract is offered for 1 year (renewable).
- Start Date: Available to start in As soon as possible

Main Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of the laboratory technician is to perform the tasks as below.
- Operating immunological assays ( ELISA, Luminex, etc.)
- Operating molecular biology assays as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR-based assays, western blot…
- Experience in vitro test would be a plus.
- Application of Standard Operating Procedures developed and used in the unit
- Perform other tasks assigned by the managers.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Fresh graduated is accepted; Students who are completing their studies in 2025 also can apply.
- Bachelor degree in the field of biotechnology or molecular biology and/ or other relevant degree
- Familiar with good laboratory practices
- Good team work, communication, rigorous and autonomous
- Willing to learn
- Basic data management and computer knowledge
