Position Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Partnership & Market Development for Chinese Markets Officer serves as the primary strategic liaison between the Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB) and the Chinese tourism ecosystem. The role focuses on transforming market intelligence into growth by conducting deep-dive studies on Chinese travel trends and mapping high-value stakeholders across Cambodia and the Greater China market.
The successful candidate will lead the entire partnership lifecycle— from identifying key players like major Chinese OTAs and airlines to negotiating MoUs and formal agreements. Beyond relationship management, the officer is tasked with the seamless execution of co- branded marketing campaigns, international travel fairs, and high- impact familiarization (FAM) trips. This position requires operational excellence to manage complex deadlines independently and maintain data-driven monitoring, ensuring Cambodia remains a top-of-mind destination for Chinese travelers and trade partners.
While the staff is expected to carry out most responsibilities independently, training and guidance will be provided where needed.
· Market Study & Insights: Conduct market studies on travel trends and behaviors to provide strategic input on partnership priorities and market entry.
· Marketing & Promotional Planning: Lead the development of strategic activity calendars and budget plans for the target market.
· Stakeholder Mapping: Identify and categorize key tourism stakeholders within Cambodia and across target markets to align with CTB objectives.
· Campaign & Promotion Coordination: Coordinate joint promotional activities and co-branded tourism campaigns with airlines, OTAs, and media partners.
· Negotiation & Review: Lead the negotiation and professional drafting of MoUs, contracts, and partnership agreements with international and local partners.
· FAM Trip Management: Organize and facilitate high-impact familiarization (FAM) trips for partners and media to showcase Cambodia's tourism offerings.
· Travel Fair Representation: Organize and coordinate CTB’s
presence at international travel fairs and tourism forums.
· Database & Performance Monitoring: Maintain and update the B2B partner database while monitoring partnership performance to document best practices.
· General Support: Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the department's goals.
Requirement: · Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing,
Tourism, or a related field.
· Experience: Proven experience in sales, business development, or partnership management. Experience in Travel Agencies, DMCs, or Hotels is a plus.
· Seniority: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
· Skills: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build professional networks.
· Management: Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines independently and standardize complex workflows for operational efficiency.
· Language: Proficiency in written and spoken Khmer and English; Professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese is mandatory.
