Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Elaborate country strategies and annual country reports.
- Identify potential partner organisations for the implementation of the country strategies.
- In collaboration with Financial Officer (FO), conduct organisational assessments including developing and implementing capacity development plans per partner organisation.
- Follow up challenges and recommendations identified in organisational assessments, capacity development plans, reports, evaluations, and audits.
- In collaboration with Financial Officer (FO) and Programme and Financial Advisor (QAPA), review concept notes and intervention descriptions and draft decision-memos ensuring that they align with ERIKS’ standards and institutional donor requirements.
- In collaboration with Humanitarian Coordinator at Head Office review humanitarian interventions developed by partner organisations and be the initial contact and respond to partner organisations.
- Ensure that internal requirements, requirements from institutional donors and auditors are communicated, understood, and implemented by partner organisations.
- Follow up and support partner organisations in the implementation of long-term and humanitarian interventions, including review of partner reports, providing feedback and regular field visits.
- Participate in and contribute to internal processes within the department including global capacity development and organisational learning plans as well as the elaboration of new steering documents, templates, and instructions.
- Represent ERIKS in relevant networks, in relation to authorities, institutional donors and other actors in the region, in relation to the role and mandate.
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities
- Contribute to fundraising efforts and participate in elaboration and writing of applications and reports to institutional donors and calls for proposals in collaboration with Donor Relations Unit as needed.
- Contribute to planning and arrangements of internal and external visits to the region.
- Draft security assessment reports for field visits.
General Responsibility – as an employee at ERIKS
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with ERIKS’ policies, guidelines, routines, and objectives.

- Contribute to improvements and developments of the organisation.
- Take part in and, if necessary, act on the information that is shared in the organisation.
Authority & Mandate
- Ensure compliance with policies, instructions, templates, guidelines, routines, institutional donor requirements and auditors on programme activities.
- Represent ERIKS in relevant networks as well as in relation to authorities and institutional donors.
- Approve narrative reports from partner organisations.
Educational Requirements
- University degree, or equivalent relevant working experience, in international development cooperations, international relations, human rights, children’s rights, or alternatively other relevant university degree.
Professional Competence
- Knowledge and experience of children's rights and/or rights-based work.
- Experience in result-based management.
- Ability to express oneself well in speech and writing in English.
Other Desirable Experience Requirements & Qualifications
- Work experience from the development sector and/or civil society, preferably with experience from abroad.
- Knowledge of French is meritorious.
