Finance and Administration Officer based in Kampot province.
Role Purpose
The GROWTH project (Cambodia - Growing Transformative Horticulture), led
by Save the Children Cambodia (SCI) in partnership with iDE Cambodia,
responds to these systemic challenges through a market systems
development approach underpinned by child wellbeing and Gender Equality,
Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) principles.
The GROWTH project aims to transform Cambodia's horticulture sector through a Market Systems Development approach.
- The project will build on previous MFAT-funded initiatives to enhance market linkages, productivity, and child wellbeing.
- It will integrate climate-smart agricultural practices and promote inclusive development for marginalized groups.
- The project will focus on market system development through strengthening agri-entrepreneurs/intermediaries to facilitate farmer access to farming advice, quality inputs, technology, aggregation and market access, finance and other services.
- Commune Agriculture Officers (CAOs) will play an important role in the programme, building their knowledge of, and capacity in, climate smart agronomic and agri-business practices, which they can then use to train traditional, semi-commercial, and commercial farmers, particularly lead farmers and cooperatives.
The Finance and Administration Officer provide the financial, Supply
chain (logistics, procurement) and administrative management support for
GROWTH project and other projects implemented in Kampot field office.
This position ensures compliance with robust financial, procurement, and
administrative systems, manages complex budgeting and reporting
requirements across the project, and supports/builds capacity on Save
the Children’s finance/supply chain and administration policies for all
field Programme staff. Responsible for safeguarding resources,
optimizing asset utilization, and maintaining transparent, accountable
operations within the provincial coverage areas.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be
expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary
working hours accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related subject
Essential
- Minimum 3 years of similar working experience, preferably with NGO and INGO
- Good teamwork with related field and other project staff
- Good in English and fluency in Khmer and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proven strong accounting and analytical skills, good attention to detail
- Experience providing administrative support and undertaking procurement
- Ability to work under pressure, both independently as well as part of the team
- Strong commitment to the organisation and highly motivated person
- Good communication skill, good interpersonal skills and ability to work in an international environment
Desirable
- Willing to travel and stay in the provinces to review and support field activities
- Willing to work in emergency situation
- Ability to work long hours under pressure and to meet deadlines.
Contract length: Unspecified Duration Contract (UDC).
