IBIS Rice Conservation Co., Ltd. is an ethically-driven conservation
enterprise working with Cambodian farmers to protect a precious and
vulnerable ecosystem while growing premium organic jasmine rice. Through
our initiative, hundreds of affiliated farmers are now the guardians of
500,000 hectares of remote national park and more than 60 threatened
and endangered species in an area traditionally plied by loggers and
poachers. We process and sell Wildlife Friendly and organic rice in
Cambodia and internationally.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Research and evaluate new raw materials, ingredients, markets, and technologies to enhance product performance, reduce costs, support sustainability initiatives, and manage trial budgets, including urgent purchases.
- Develop work progress for R&D projects to track efficiency, success rates, and timelines.
- Conduct product activity tests and accurately record all observations and experimental data.
- Work with suppliers to improve trials, enhance product quality and shelf life, and obtain required certificates.
- Collaborate with production to scale up the production from R&D to semi-automatic machines.
- Analyze R&D and production reports to support decision-making, process improvements, processing methods, and product information documentation.
- Collaborate with the laboratory to ensure all recipe and R&D products follow the SOPs
- Formulate and conduct product trials, evaluate taste, quality, and consistency, ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards, and assist in preparing audit documentation.
- Involved in and supported the product quality inspection and documented both internal and external.
- Work with QC , PD team to keep on tracking the receipt data and improve the product on going shelf life
- Other tasks would be delegated or assisted by the Head of PQD.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science preferably in Food Science or related field
- At least of experience in Research and development (R&D) infood industry for 2 years
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Bright, able to think outside the box.
- Enthusiastic and positive.
- Good communicator.
