Position: Case Managers (Kdei Karuna Organizaiton)__Deadline:19-December

The Case Manager shall be responsible for providing quality therapeutic case management, economic empowerment, basic mental support, and expertise to project beneficiaries, particularly survivors of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV). This will involve comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, and overall evaluation of individual survivor cases. Additionally, the Case Manager will provide training to stakeholders and relevant partners as needed.

The Case Manager will collaborate with other NGO partners in resource mobilization, service mapping, and service referral. They will also perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Coordinator and project team.

Purpose of the Job: To implement primarily the project activities to achieve both program objectives and operational objective stated in the project document in consistent with Kdei Karuna (KdK) Strategic Plan Report thereby making a major contribution to the development.

1. Comply to standards and model of the best practice of case management
  • Provide ongoing support and expertise through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementing and overall evaluating of individual survivor needs;
  • Develop an Individual Care Plan in consultation with the survivor which is to be monitored and reviewed regularly;
  • Provide  referrals  survivors  to  appropriate  community  agencies  such  as  crisis intervention, legal advocacy, health and counselling agencies for medical, mental, physical, social and educational needs;
  • Provide on-going follow up and support to the survivor regularly;
  • Assist survivors in determining eligibility for financial assistance and/or social services;
  • Participate individual supervision and team supervision;
  • Strengthen  relationship  with  other  services  providers,  partner  NGOs,  community members,  and  local  authorities  in  problem  solving  of  issues  relating  to  project beneficiaries to ensure that the they meet their needs;
  • Conduct case conference to discuss about survivors for finding solutions with relevant staffs;
  • Cooperate with project teams to deal to provide safe place to survivors on time;
  • Provide some emergency support to survivor’s family as expenditure guideline;

2.    Maintain the case records of the survivor and document in survivors’ files in a timely manner and to ensure that case files are up-to-date
  • Document all activity performed on behalf of the survivors in the survivor’s case progress notes;
  • Cooperate with other supportive services providers to collect the relevant survivor documents and keep in case file;
  • Maintain the case files in a safe and professional manner with all relevant KdK and TPO documentations completed on time;
  • Maintain a summary of any disclosures of survivor’ information in the survivor’s file according to policy;
  • Fill out all assessment forms as required by the project; and
  • Complete output indicators of survivors accurately and timely for semi and annual report.

3.    Communication and Development
  • Assist Project Coordinator for case studies, donor visits and donor reports;
  • Advise the Project Coordinator on topics of interest and necessity relating to the team functioning or general concern/interest to the project;
  • Work collaboratively with the other project team members related to counselling, foster care and provide those supports accordingly;
  • Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, team supervision, case reviews, in-services and seminars/workshops;
  • Advocate    about    human    rights    with    other    government    officials and    NGOs
  • partners/networks;
  • Conduct consent forms with survivor for a case study/photo/client information sharing as needed;
  • Attend capacity building with internal and external training as required;
  • Keep learning all the time and do reflection to improve capacity and performance;
  • Share good experiences/good practice to team.

4.    Meet regularly with Case Management Team/PC for supervision
  • Meet regularly with Case Management team members for case supervision to ensure that there is effective communication with the Project Coordinator on relevant survivor matters and for support and guidance around case practice. Such relevant matters may include, but are not limited to, survivor’s rights issues, and project issues;
  • Seek internal or external support or counselling when overwhelmed feelings is uncontrolled;
  • Keep appropriate ethic and boundary in relation to confidentiality of supervision practice;
  • Keep professional boundaries and address all personal issues which may affect your work;
  • Develop healthy self-care strategy to avoid burnout at work.

5.    Work with survivor in creating business plans so as to apply for microfinance loans or grants and work with them on financial management
  • Provide career counselling/advice to clients/families who want to start their own small business;
  • Work with survivors on creating a business plan;
  • Provide support to survivors on financial management, as required following up;
  • Assist survivors on executing business plans when loan/grant is approved;
  • Provide monitor and ensure survivors are placed in high quality in the job-training and access appropriate sustainable job.

6.    Develop good relationship with Foster Care Families to support on emotion, solving problem, encouraging them to become positive persons.
  • Create peer support group among foster care families from difference location to share learning;
  • Prepare monthly bank transfer to foster care families timely for support survivor’s living;
  • Payment other extra household needs, hygiene, toiletry for living in the community.

7.    Providing Training as needs
  • Work closely with PC for planning and organizing project event such as workshop, forum, reflection, project launches and other training as needs;
  • Provide detail training activities/schedule to Project Coordinator for preview and get some any input as need from line manager and approval.

8.    Perform other tasks as required by line manager
  • Communicate Kdei Karuna Organization’s mission clearly and passionately;
  • Advocate on behalf of survivors at specified Government and NGO meetings as the representative of Kdei Karuna;
  • Assist line manager in coordinating special visits of donors or government agencies;
  • Develop positive, collaborative and nature working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders;
  • Assist line manager for any survey as required

Qualification:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Science such as Sociology, Psychology, Social Work and relevant subjects;
  • At least three years of work experience in Social Work/Case Management, preferably for an NGOs, and related fields;

Required Competencies and Skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Khmer and English;
  • Proven good analytical, report writing and organizational skills;
  • Spirit of initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, ability to work individually and in a team;
  • Good research, report writing and documentation skills;
  • Good presentation, oral and written communication skills;
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills including good coordination and effective working relations with stakeholders;
  • Good planning and time management skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications, preferably database development and data management;
