IBIS Rice Conservation Co., Ltd. is an ethically-driven conservation
enterprise working with Cambodian farmers to protect a precious and
vulnerable ecosystem while growing premium organic jasmine rice. Through
our initiative, hundreds of affiliated farmers are now the guardians of
500,000 hectares of remote national park and more than 60 threatened
and endangered species in an area traditionally plied by loggers and
poachers. We process and sell Wildlife Friendly and organic rice in
Cambodia and internationally.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Petty Cash Management
- Disburse petty cash to support daily operational activities.
- Maintain accurate records of petty cash transactions.
- Reconcile petty cash funds regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Cash Advance Processing
- Process staff requests for cash advances in line with company policies.
- Monitor and record cash advances issued to employees.
- Assist in facilitating the clearance of advances upon expense submission or reconciliation.
- Receive, verify, and record supplier invoices into the accounting system.
- Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and compliant with purchase agreements.
- Follow up with suppliers for any discrepancies or additional documentation.
- Prepare and process payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure all payments are authorized and made timely to avoid penalties or service disruptions.
- Assist in maintaining organized records of all payment transactions and supporting documents.
- Prepare necessary documentation for management review and approval.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation and reports.
- Assist in tagging and labelling the company’s fixed assets.
- Assist in Fixed asset count to verify the existence, condition, and location of assets listed in the fixed asset register.
- Support in the process during transfer or auditing.
- Assist in stationery control.
- Distribute stationery to new staff and replenish stock.
- Coordinate with insurance provider to ensure IRCC employees are covered by Health and PA insurance.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve issues efficiently
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in a payable accounting role for 2 years as a minimum
- Experience in the food and beverage, FMCG, or agricultural sector is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and local tax regulations in Cambodia.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills in Khmer and English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
