We are currently seeking a Project Officer to support our Transforming Lives Through Nutrition Project. This position is intended for Cambodian nationals based in Kampong Thom Province. She/he requires regular travel to conduct remote field work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working alongside the Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture Lead to develop weekly, monthly, and annual work plans and reports.
- Coordinate with the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery, District Agriculture Departments, and the Commune Agriculture Officer (CAO) to provide training to target beneficiaries.
- Coordinate with CAO staff and village leaders to select model farmers on project sites.
- Coordinate with CAOs and village leaders to identify households with children under five years.
- Coordinate with CAOs and Agriculture Cooperatives (ACs) to provide orientation to target beneficiaries.
- Support the monitoring and evaluation team, selecting model farmers to develop integrated homestead food production on project sites.
- Support the Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture Lead, organizing and conducting meetings and workshops when required.
- Provide administrative and logistical support and direct project finances for training, meetings, and workshops (or as required by the manager).
- Conduct regular field monitoring, supervision, and coaching to target beneficiaries, providing them with feedback accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with government officials, key local authorities, NGO partners, and Helen Keller Intl team members to efficiently implement the project.
- Monitor activities and outputs, ensuring the delivery of project results.
- Provide weekly and monthly progress reports to the Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture Lead in a timely fashion.
- Develop a weekly and monthly work plan with the Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture Lead and relevant stakeholders in the first week of each month.
- Attend routine program meetings with the Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture Lead and other Project Officers to discuss any field issues and revise work plans accordingly.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships and communication with other agriculture and food systems team members, government officials, and community members.
- Liaise with CAOs and ACs as the Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture Lead requested.
- Submit a weekly and monthly program report to the Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture Lead.
- Document program experience, lessons learned, and best practices and share them with relevant management for technical input when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in agriculture and food systems (or a related field)
- At least three years of experience in agriculture and nutrition at the community level (with a focus on agriculture and food systems preferred).
- Excellent facilitation and coordination skills with the ability to lead participatory discussions and training on nutrition-sensitive agriculture topics.
- Fluency in Khmer and with a reasonable command of written and spoken English.
- Experience working in rural Cambodian communities.
- Experience working and coordinating with NGOs and government agencies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel by motorbike in rural areas.
