We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position of Accounting Supervisor
Location : Head Office (Phnom Penh)
Key Responsibility:
- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies.
- Team Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance on accounting procedures.
- Assign tasks, review work, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
- Month-End & Year-End Closing
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations (bank, AR, AP, GL).
- Ensure all accruals, prepayments, and adjustments are accurately recorded.
- 4. Audit & Tax Coordination
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants for annual audits and tax filings.
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Ensure timely submission of tax returns (VAT, CIT, WHT, etc.).
- Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and implement automation/improvements.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Support
- Assist the Finance Manager in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and report variances.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight
- Supervise invoice processing, vendor payments, and collections.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval workflows.
- Payroll & Expense Management
- Review payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Monitor employee expense reimbursements and company credit cards.
- Tax Management & Compliance
- Tax Reporting & Filings: Ensure accurate and timely preparation/submission of all tax filings, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax (WHT), and payroll taxes.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance.
- Tax Audits & Disputes: Act as the primary contact for tax authorities during audits or inquiries.
- Resolve tax discrepancies and disputes in a timely manner.
- Tax Planning & Optimization: Identify tax-saving opportunities and advise management on tax-efficient strategies.
- Review transfer pricing policies (if applicable) to ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Tax Reconciliation & Documentation:
- Maintain proper records for tax audits, including supporting documents for deductions and exemptions.
- Reconcile tax accounts (e.g., deferred tax assets/liabilities) in the general ledger.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA/ACCA preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in accounting, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
- Soft Skills: Leadership, attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in education or service sectors is a plus.
