Want to make a positive difference to the future of people and
our one shared home, the Earth? Working at WWF could be your opportunity
of a lifetime.
All around the world, people are waking up to the deepening crisis of nature loss. A growing realization that nature is our life-support system. And that nobody will be spared from the impacts of its loss. Here at WWF, we are helping to tackle this enormous global challenge.
What we do
We are an independent conservation organization, striving to sustain the natural world for the benefit of people and wildlife. From individuals and communities to business and government, we are part of a growing coalition calling on world leaders to set nature on the path to recovery by 2030. Together, we seek to protect and restore natural habitats, stop the mass extinction of wildlife, and make the way we produce and consume sustainable. WWF Cambodia works to conserve the region’s biodiversity and build a secure and sustainable future for people and wildlife. WWF-Cambodia works on the ground and in partnership with Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
WWF-Cambodia is now looking for expert consultant to conduct a Benchmark and Water Audit Assessment on selected garment factories in Cambodia.
Overall Objective: Building on the previous Water Risk in Cambodia assessment report regarding the garment/textile sector, this assessment will provide updated and more comprehensive data on water consumption, as well as wastewater treatment data for the garment sector. It will include water audits at selected factories and establish a benchmark for the facilities, along with recommendations to reduce water usage.
Specific Objectives:
1. Assess the current status of water consumption and wastewater in the garment sector. With the coordination and support of a WWF, the consultant will give up-to-date information on water consumption and wastewater status in Cambodia, including the most recent regulations related to wastewater treatment.
2. Conduct expert interviews with key industry stakeholders: Engage with factories, and industry experts, gathering and sharing valuable insights on the water consumption and the wastewater treatment.
3. Conduct 2 water audit assessments at selected factories: The consultant will conduct the water audit, establish benchmark for the selected factories and quantified recommendations for water sustainability improvement.
