This role is responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of school and community gardens as well as supporting a small farm in the province. The Agriculture Officer will maintain and develop existing growing operations and school education programmes. This position will need to train, manage and educate students, staff and community members to achieve organic and sustainable goals of the organization. The role offers a broad scope of work ranging from education through community relations as well as daily vegetable production, business operations as well as hosting visitors and school groups.

- Mentor and support school gardening groups, STEAM projects, Saturday clubs and extracurricular activities across education and community outreach departments;
- Manage our community garden project - crop planning, maintain community relations and engage with local residents, hire employees, technical training, vegetable production, sales, distribution, customer service and deliveries;
- Maintain and develop revenue streams for specific sites & agriculture enterprises;
- Support, advise and provide technical training for colleagues working on our small farm project. This includes but is not limited to rice, citrus and various livestock;
- Develop new educational programmes & materials for students (Khmer General-Grade 12) and income generation programmes for community members related to agriculture;
- Assist and advise on landscaping for existing and new garden sites at all CCF locations;
- Collect data and provide bimonthly reports on all agriculture activities;
- Uphold good animal welfare standards, chemical-free production and nature friendly ethos of agriculture at CCF;
- Other tasks assigned by line manager.
- Visibly ethical and able to demonstrate CCF values in day-to-day work;’
- Bachelor degree of agriculture or related filed;
- 1+ years’ experience of general farm operations;
- Experience growing in wet/dry tropical climates is desirable;
- Knowledge of organic growing methods;
- Good communication skills of written and/or oral. (English/Khmer);
- Good interpersonal, time management, communication, facilitation, teaching skills;
- Knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel, internet and Email);
- Be honest and trustworthy, Patient, respectful and helpful;
- Take responsibility, flexible and committed;
- High compassion and commitment to work with community people and poor children.
