Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SP) is a nonprofit, nondenominational, evangelical Christian Organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.
The position is working within Poipet Migrant Access Centre (P-MAC) based in Poipet city, Banteay Meanchey Province.
The purpose of this role is to assist the P-MAC Project Coordinator in implementing the project activities, which focus on the provision of direct assistance to migrant deportees crossing the Poipet International Border Gate, and the community awareness activities of SMTA, OSEC and GBV in the target areas. The Field Officer will report to the Project Coordinator based in Poipet, Banteay Meanchey.

Duration: 1 year (Renewable, subject to funding availability)
- Work with the Project Coordinator to implement activities, adapt plans, and provide regular communication and updates about the project and context
- Develop relationships with local authorities, such as Sangkat chiefs, village chiefs, and church leaders, to assist with activity implementation
- Prepare materials and lesson plans to train local community, authorities, CCWCs, churches, and youth representatives about SMTA, online child sexual exploitation, and GBV in a creative and participatory manner
- Engage the CCWCs in delivering the SMTA awareness training to the target communities
- Select youth representatives in the assigned Sangkat and train them in SMTA, GBV and OSEC
- Lead and engage the youth representatives in organizing the youth campaign in the selected villages
- Assist the Project Coordinator and the project team at the PTC with providing immediate assistance to migrant returnees, including conducting interviews with them using iPads
- Refer migrant returnees to the appropriate partners for additional assistance
- Assist the Project Coordinator with regular data entry, report writing, and other general administrative duties as required
- Plan and organize daily tasks effectively within the prescribed time
- Maintain good team communication and relationships so that the project can run smoothly
- Assist in the preparation and packaging of materials as necessary
- Write quarterly impact stories and submit photos about project impact to Project Coordinator
- Be able to ride and maintain a motorcycle for daily use
- Be a strong Christian witness in the community
- Other duties associated with implementing the project as assigned by the Project Coordinator
- Agree and adhere to the mission statement of Samaritan’s Purse
- Minimum high school education
- Organized, creative, and flexible person who can work well under pressure.
- At least one-year experience in the GBV, OSEC, safe migration and trafficking prevention field
- Experience working with community and youth.
- Ability to read and write Khmer well
- Able to read and write English
- Experienced in Microsoft Office Word & Excel.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work as a team and independently
- Ability and willingness to ride a motorbike for long distances (this is a mandatory requirement of the job)
- Willing to work weekends, mornings, and evenings on a roster basis as required
- Willing to work public holidays (with time in lieu) on a roster basis as required
