To guide and care for students while supporting them to reach their highest academic attainment.
Roles and Responsibilities:- The WISC teacher is expected to engage the learners throughout the lesson time, through note making, discussions, student making presentations and responding to activities in the workbooks.
- The subject teacher will come to teach Chemistry for IGCSE/AS & A Level
- The teacher shall present the lesson employing the “No Child Left Behind” strategy with the use of multiple pathways of teaching to ensure all the students are able to benefit from the lesson.
- The subject teacher is expected to grade the student work on a daily basis, continually compiling evidence of performance to report in monthly booklets.
- The teacher shall take responsibility to invest in moral education to develop good behavior among their students.
- Accident prevention is the sole responsibility of every teacher during their lesson. Students should be guided appropriately on safety, situations anticipated and measures put in place to prevent accidents at ALL costs.
- Performing other functions as necessary or assigned by Heads of Division.
- Assisting Line Manager/Supervisor in any projects or tasks in relation to company goals and objectives.
- Participating in all School-wide events.
- 4-year Bachelor’s Degree plus TESOL/TEFL certificate, BA in Chemistry/Engineering or related skills
- Master’s degree advantageous
- Teaching certification from a recognized institution.
- More than 3 years of working experience in education institutions Experience in teaching in an international setting is an advantage.
- Competent in Information Technology for use in Teaching and Learning, as well as data analysis
- Strong knowledge in curriculum, pedagogy and assessments.
- Strong passion in education with the ability to inspire students and fellow teachers
- Willing to be stationed in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
- Willing to work flexibly in dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Strong ability in leadership, networking, teamwork, and problem-solving
- Meticulous, analytical and self-driven
- Ability to think strategically
- Ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with others
- Ability to “think outside the box” in identifying problems and implementing solutions
- Works well under pressure, well organized and with strong attention to details
- Ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines
