KJC Farm is a social business poultry farm funded by Australian NGO, Dana Asia. Through collaboration with local and international partners, KJC has established bio secure facilities and a flock of high-quality chickens to sell into the local market. KJC employs villagers from impoverished backgrounds and offers poultry rearing training and hands-on experience in sustainable poultry farming and business management.
Reports to: General Manager
To lead in the development of the KJC project, including overseeing all financial controls for KJC Farm and ensuring good practice is maintained at all times to maintain proper operations and report effectively to the KJC Farm.
- Call/Visit potential customers & record the status
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers professionally;
- Develop new markets and, where appropriate, products.
- Lead on the development of a long-term sales and marketing strategy for KJC new and existing products (chicken products, vegetables).
- Conduct market research within Siem Reap to inform the strategic plan and identify potential new customers, including hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, markets, community sales and corporate partners.
- Line management of KJC sales manager and work with them to develop week-by-week sales plans with target customers.
- Direct sales team in conducted market research to inform sales strategy.
- Produce comprehensive sales reports and forecasts, plus any additional data as required by senior team members for management reporting.
- Meet with KJC farm team weekly to review KJC products for sale and work with KJC farm team to make strategic decisions about preparation of chicken products (for example, what parts should be prepared each week).
- Attend and participate in the senior management weekly meeting to update on sales and marketing progress and pipeline.
- Manage all company social media channels
- Create Sale artwork designs - such as banner ads, email etc.
- Report on marketing outcomes and suggest any improvement for better results
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Bachelor's degree of Sale/ Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 2-3year experience
- Able to present decisions and arguments for action based on evidence
- Honest, methodical and well-organized approach to marketing
- Able to get both clients and colleagues to understand and remember the take home messages
- Technical skills and / or experience in the following areas are a distinct advantage:
- Marketing and sales
- Email marketing
- Social media marketing & management
- Good communication in English
- Market research
- Fluent in Khmer and strong English language skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal skills – to deal with customers and external contacts
