Safe Haven is a registered NGO in Siem Reap providing multidisciplinary service to children with disabilities and their families. We provide physiotherapy, health support and education, social work support, child development services, and parenting education.

Safe Haven is an American NGO registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Social Affairs.
The schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5 pm
The Outreach Nurse will provide assessment, education, and treatment services in children’s homes and at the Safe Haven office. The nurse will work together with the rest of the Safe Haven team to improve the health, nutrition, and safety of children, to help them access medical care, and to teach families about general health topics and parenting.
Safe Haven will provide:
- Orientation to Safe Haven’s overall mission, policies, and strategies
- Orientation to roles of other Safe Haven Team members (PT, SW, INT)
- Training about child protection issues, confidentiality, disabilities, child development
- Motorbike to be used during working hours to travel to the field
- Good salary, phone allowance and gas card.
- Paid holidays and annual leave
- Personal Accident Insurance (NSSF), and other good benefit
- Ongoing support, supervision, and extensive training.
- Work with children with disabilities and their families at their homes in villages around Siem Reap; primarily field-based.
- Work with Cambodian and foreign colleagues to make health assessments, identify and build on children’s and families’ strengths, develop treatment plans and set goals, educate and encourage parents and caregivers, accompany children and families to appointments with other healthcare providers.
- Nursing degree/diploma (new graduates are welcome to apply); must have Flexible attitude, creative problem-solving skills, open to new ideas and perspectives
- Qualification in nursing; registered with the Cambodian Council of Nurses.
- Able to work independently in the community and also as part of a team
- Enthusiastic in community works, especially working with children with disabilities and their families
- Values training program and capacity development, especially the related skill specialization
- Good communication skills; able to work as team, enjoy sharing knowledge and experience through the Safe Haven’s activities.
- Able to advocate for children in health care settings
- Able to use Microsoft office, email, google drive and internet
- Intermediate or higher English (spoken and written) and Khmer fluency/literacy
- Responsible handling of cash and receipts.
- Able to drive Motor to home visits and other appointments
