Job summary: FIMS Database Developer responsible for FIMS development, technical infrastructure, food safety module, enhancing FiA FIMS, and training materials. Requires strong knowledge of business requirements analysis and database design.
- Develop FIMS plan by working on the FIMS strategic framework and roadmap
- Develop a detailed plan for the enhancement of FiA FIMS including key modules and features
- Attain endorsement of the development plan from FiA and relevant stakeholders
- Identify technical enhancement to the FiA FIMS that align with FiA’s ICT policies and future requirements
- Develop system documentation for the FIMS infrastructure to be used by FiA systems administrators and developers.
- Work with the food safety consultant and FiA staff to scope out system requirements for the development of a food safety module within FIMS
- Develop and test the food safety module with relevant FiA staff
- Ensure that appropriate technical and user documentation are maintained and that FiA staff are trained
- Develop technical and user documentation and support the training of FiA technical staff
- Post graduate qualification in computing science, information systems, software engineering, or similar related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in analyzing business requirements and designing relational databases
- Minimum of 7 years of experience building web-based applications with PHP-based frameworks and MySQL databases
- Experience in implementing database solutions for national projects and in writing Application Programming Interfaces (API)
- Knowledge of the fisheries in Cambodia will be advantageous
- Good command of Khmer and English.
