Job summary: Experienced in fisheries management, development, science, and marketing. Expertise in project coordination, monitoring, facilitating management plans, improving mariculture technologies, and promoting seafood enterprise and association.
- Support activities, planning, compliance, and workflow to establish indicators and time schedules
- Facilitate liaison and coordination of project outputs, assist in developing and implementing stakeholder feedback mechanisms.
- Provide guidance to the approach of fisheries management planning process
- Provide training and coaching support during the implementation of fisheries management process
- Oversee and support the PMU to identify sites for all additional infrastructure subprojects.
- Integrate CFI program with MaFReDI catch recording systems, contribute to institutional reform for coherent marine fisheries management and CFI sub-decrees.
- Provide leadership and oversight for the roll out of fisher engagement contractor
- Ensure the mariculture program stakeholders are fully aware of the KE development programs.
- Facilitate consistency between mariculture improvements and ecosystem-based fisheries management planning.
- Support development of CFI associations and federations, facilitating management networks and market connections
- Support Project Manager and Directors in designing stakeholder communication programs, media content, and conducting engagement programs at provincial and district levels.
- Master’s degree or Bachelor's degree studies in higher in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Biology, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in marine fisheries management, project management and team management
- Strong knowlege in project management and stakeholder engagement working on donor-funded projects with the government.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging government, private sector, and community stakeholders in multi-stakeholder processes, including CSO and NGOP networks.
- Required Knowledge of marine fisheries resource management, including co-management systems and current principles for effective management in multispecies ecosystems.
- The deputy team leader shall be posted in Phnom Penh with frequent travels to the provinces.
- Excellent team building skills.
- Good command of Khmer and English and English writing.
