Nak Akphivath Sahakum (NAS) is local NGO, a nonprofit, non-governmental and nonpolitical organization, established on 01st May 1997 and registered within the Ministry of Interior, Royal Kingdom of Cambodia in and September 1999. Our goal is to improving the quality of living conditions for poor and vulnerable people, especially women and children, through effective and sustainable livelihood options, human- rights based approach to programming, and climate change awareness raising and adaptation. And also, NAS qualify national candidate who are full fit to bellowing position for Poultry Project of National Pride in Cambodia Project funding by HEIFER INTERNATIONAL-CAMBODIA for the provincial target areas of Prey Veng, province.
Briefly about Donor and Project
Heifer International began working in Cambodia in 1999, improving production and increasing incomes of smallholder farmers through backyard chickens, safe vegetables, while exploring opportunity in beef cattle value chains. Smallholder farmers in the country are organized into self-help groups (SHGs) and agricultural cooperatives (AC), enabling them to access new markets and finance to scale their agricultural businesses. SHGs receive various capacity building training as a part of Heifer International’s Values Based Holistic Community Development (VBHCD) model which is helping them to unleash their potentials. Protecting and regenerating the environment is central to Heifer Cambodia’s work. Projects at Heifer Cambodia are increasing food security, improving sanitation and hygiene, building agricultural skills and investment, and integrating Micro-Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) into inclusive agricultural market systems and value chains, while strengthening sustainable community development networks at the local and provincial levels.

Field Facilitator is responsible for building capacity of Self-help groups (SHG), Agricultural Cooperatives (AC) and smallholder Farmers in social capital, strengthening AC’s institutional capacity, coordinating, and supporting individual farmers/producers, self-help groups (SHGs) and agricultural cooperatives (ACs) to determine, plan and implement agribusiness and agriculture value chains tailored to their needs and market demands. S/he will work in close collaboration with the project team to assist producers in developing and managing their agribusinesses towards upgrading the value chains, increasing production of native chicken and vegetables.
1. Strengthen Self-help groups and Agricultural Cooperative: 40%
2. Transfer of Agriculture technical skill and Technology: 35%
3. Agribusiness development of AC and smallholder farmers: 20%
Project Management (database and reporting) : 5%

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor or associate degree in Rural Development or Business Administration, plus at least one year of experience in fields related to agriculture value chain and agro-enterprise development (specifically livestock and vegetable/and or fish enterprises).
- Knowledge and experience in agriculture value chain and agro-enterprise development.
- Experience in agriculture extension in poultry and aquaculture is a plus.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of and experience with or within community organizations
- Demonstrated proficiency in Khmer, both spoken and written; proficiency in English is a plus
- Good communication and facilitation skills
- Good understanding of and sensitivity for poverty, social and ethnic issues
- Knowledge of project management
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
