1.    BACKGROUND
Passerelles Numériques (PN) is a French non-profit organization, created in 2005, operating in Cambodia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Madagascar. Our mission is to unlock the potential of underprivileged young people by empowering them with innovative education in key digital and soft employability skills. Our goal is that each student finds a quality job aligned with local tech market needs, allowing them and their families to escape poverty in a sustainable way and contribute to the social and economic development of their country.

Passerelles Numériques Cambodia (PNC) is the local operator of PN and a training center located in Phnom Penh. Each year 150 students receive holistic training in IT and life skills. From their first day of school, until graduation, and their first job, we support each of our students on their journey. After studying at PNC, our students become web developers, analysts, app testers… and can find quality jobs for life. PNC contributes directly to 6 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The External Relations Office is the pivotal department between PN Global, PNC and external stakeholders. The department is responsible for all types of partnerships, for fundraising activities and for internal and external communication and visibility. It supports all activities of PNC that imply external actors and/or communication. It comprises one ERO Manager, one Communication Officer and one ERO Officer - Partnerships.

2.    MISSION
PNC is looking for an External Relations Officer – Partnerships to integrate its ERO team.
The External Relations Officer – Partnerships contributes to the deployment of the ERO action plan and supports in meeting the operational and financial goals. S/he will be responsible for the partnerships related to PNC’s “guidance to employment” missions. This includes company visits, internship placements for students, operational partnerships prospection, development and follow-up as well as employment surveys. S/he will also handle other opportunities of partnerships such as in-kind or other operational collaborations. S/he may occasionally support fundraising, events organization and work on other tasks written down in the section of duties and responsibilities below.

3.    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the ERO Manager, the ERO Officer – Partnerships will work in the team to implement the ERO action plan. Her/his main missions will imply:

- Partnership Building and Monitoring:

  • With  the  support  of  ERO  Manager,  create,  maintain  and  expand  sustainable relationships with companies, institutions, and organizations through face-to-face meetings,  presentation  and  promotion  of  the  project,  participation  to  external events, organization of center visits, etc.
  • Search/generate  new contacts  and bridge  partnerships  in close  collaboration  with ERO Manager.
  • Ensure  the  administrative  management  of  each  partnership  is  well-organized (agreement, donation follow-up, thank you process, tax receipt…).
  • Ensure  storage  and  reporting  of  data  and  documents  about  prospects  and/or partnerships in Salesforce and other platforms in a timely and correct manner.
  • Ensure a good and bespoke reporting to each partner is in place.
  • Be the ambassador of PNC’s image and values.


- Company visits and workshops:

  • Establish plan/schedule/targeting companies for the visits and workshops
  • Request/organize the company visits and workshops for students.
  • Lead visits if necessary and ensure good relations with the partners.
  • Handle feedback and follow-up.


-Internship placements:

  • Prospect and find internship positions for the second-year students.
  • Ensure the partners fully understand our structure, our program and internship aligns with PNC requirements.
  • Pay attention to partners’ needs and concerns and proactively look for solutions.
  • Proactively analyze the process and participate in the continuous improvement.


- Job placement:

  • Conduct and manage follow-up survey for job placements
  • Provide support to former students who have not found full time positions.


-Alumni engagement:

  • Co-organize and co-conduct the fundraising campaigns for alumni.
  • Suggest and support initiatives for a better valorization of the alumni network.


Other:

  • Support with logistic, administration and partners relation during events.
  • Participate in relevant external and internal events.
  • Take part in external relations plans and initiatives.
  • Actively participate in yearly/monthly planning input and all staff meetings.
  • Participate in Knowledge management (update our drives and tools).
  • Support Fundraising efforts of the ERO team.
  • Organize, maintain and manage contact lists.
  • Support project teams and other tasks assigned by the Manager.


4.    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Education:

  • Bachelor’s    degree    in    social    science,    international    solidarity,    public    relations, communication, business, marketing or relevant field.


Professional experience:

  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Proven interest in the non-profit sector (solidarity, education, development etc.).


Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and take initiatives.
  • Problem solving oriented.
  • Good command of English (main working language) and Khmer.
  • Good knowledge in digital tools, particularly Google Suite tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability  to  plan  and  prioritize  own  workload  and  meet  deadlines  with  minimum supervision.
  • Curious and committed to learning and upskilling.


5.    STATUS AND CONDITIONS

  • Multicultural team setting (Khmer, French)
  • 3-month probation period
  • Salary depending on experience
  • Paid leaves
  • Start date: September
