Green Umbrella is a non-profit organization which registered with the Ministry of Interior in 2012 and the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport in 2013 for the school project.

Summary of Position:
The Executive Director (ED) is a full-time staff member of the Green Umbrella Organization based in Bati District, Takeo Province. Green Umbrella NGO is a grassroots organization aiming at best practice in non-profit organization in education activities. The ED is responsible for the overall leadership of Green Umbrella and GU School. The ED communicates with the Board of Directors (BoD)s, donors, government, communities, and other stakeholders’ offices or institutions. Experience in fundraising is an essential part of this position to support all the projects of GU.
- Develop and oversee curriculum development to include reviewing existing materials, coordinate curriculum development with faculty, conduct research on teaching methods and learning styles, coordinate student assessments, manage classroom logistics, evaluate program effectiveness, and suggest curriculum changes based on teacher/ student feedback or research findings.
- Work closely with the ECE Coordinator on all educational initiatives. Identify continued learning needs to promote the best possible program.
- Be responsible for carrying out the teacher and staff performance/development, growth system, and work performance appraisal.
- Represent GU NGO and GU School in the participation of educational events, workshops, national or international congresses and in signing MoUs with donors, partners or government departments.
- Develop a fundraising proposal and actively seek funds to support the GU projects. Foster continual rapport with all donors to maintain and enhance the relationship with GU.
- Manage, in collaboration with the Finance Officer, all aspects of budgeting, reviewing and approving income and expenses, as well as cash flow situations.
- Monitor the present strategic plan and oversee the implementation of the plan or modify as necessary depending on the future realities of GU.
- Oversee school operations to include managing logistics and program budgets,
- Communicate and collaborate with the Board of Directors on policy development and strategic decisions that require their involvement
- Manage the administrative department (office) to ensure that team members are fulfilling their roles.
- Facilitate weekly and monthly meetings in organization
- Ensure effective information channels are in place to reach all staff, parents and community.
- Provide professional and capacity building to staff in the areas of identified need.
- Monitor the ongoing effectiveness of the Youth Program.
- Monitor the ongoing effectiveness of GU's Community Education Program.
- Hold Bachelor’s degree/Master Degree of Education (or equivalent)
- Five or more years of experience in senior management, preferably with nonprofit organizations or school management
- Experience in project planning, public relations, fundraising, and budgeting
- Experience in education and especially in the early childhood education and youth development program
- Excellent understanding of the roles of NGOs in civil society and, holding respect among the NGO community.
