The Workers’ Information Center (WIC) is a women garment workers‐based association, registered with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) since 2009. WIC aims to empower women workers to claim their rights and to improve the status of women in society. WIC participates an alliance called United Sisterhood Alliance (Us) with other sister organisations: The Messenger Band (MB), Women’s Network for Unity (WNU), and Social Action for Community and Development Organisation (SACD).
A key strategy of WIC is to operate Drop‐in‐centers, safe spaces where workers share their experiences and access information about their legal rights, the economics of the garment industry, gender, women’s health and broader social and political issues. WIC is seeking applications from highly motivated Cambodian nationals to take up a challenging and rewarding position as WIC Director.

The Director is the most senior WIC staff and is accountable to the WIC Board. The Director will

- Good interpersonal skills and cross‐cultural sensitivity
- Understanding of the labour and/or garment sector in Cambodia
- Degree in political science, law or economics.

Organizational Development:
- Work with WIC staffs and volunteers to develop a strategy to implement the recommendations of the 2013 external review of WIC, as appropriate.
- Provide strategic leadership and capacity development to help WIC become an autonomous grass-roots movement of women garment workers and their allies, led by women garment workers.
- Coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of WIC’s strategic plan.
- Coordinate and oversee staffing to reflect WIC’s strategy and mission.
- Coordinate all aspects of organizational capacity development to enhance WIC’s ability to achieve its mission and implement its strategy.
- Work with WIC staffs, volunteers, advisors and Board to ensure WIC’s structure and personnel reflect its mission statement and support for grassroots empowerment.
- Assist WIC to gain and maintain a good understanding of the broader political economy of the garment industry in Cambodia and globally.
- Liaise with, and where possible harmonize WIC activities and policies with, those of other members of the United Sisterhood Alliance (Us).
