Mission Alliance aims to fight poverty and promote justice by being present, professional, and brave. We are now looking for an Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Coordinator to join our Business for Development Project.
Mission Alliance is a faith based, Christian, INGO with headquarters in Norway. We have fought poverty through sustainable development for over 100 years in South America, Asia, and Africa. We have worked in Cambodia through local partnerships since 2007. Our focus is on integrated community development in the areas of education and skills development for children and youth, livelihood, and agriculture value chain. We are also implementing a business development project named Business for Development that aims to support local small and micro businesses primarily those in the rural area. At present, 19 staff members are employed in the country office.
The Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Coordinator is responsible for establishing partnerships and engaging with other Entrepreneurship Support Organizations (ESOs) in Cambodia and the region. This role aims to expand the project's reach to more businesses and position it effectively in the market. Additionally, the Coordinator will lead the Roksi community initiative by providing demand-driven support.

- Identify and build partnerships with relevant ESOs in the entrepreneurship ecosystem
- Recognize gaps in the ecosystem where Roksi can contribute to strengthening it and raise the project's profile
- Develop joint initiatives with other ESOs to position Roksi within the ecosystem and expand outreach to more businesses
- Stay informed on changes and emerging opportunities within the entrepreneurship ecosystem
- Provide recommendations to the project team to ensure the project's relevance and responsiveness to the ecosystem and business needs
- Lead the establishment of the Roksi community as an initiative to further support businesses that have received coaching from Roksi
- Identify the needs of the Roksi community and coordinate the delivery of demand-driven support, either provided by the project or other ESOs/actors
- Ensure active involvement and engagement of Roksi community members, potentially working closely with the coaching team
- Collaborate with the communication team to develop the branding and positioning of the Roksi community, aligned with the Roksi and Mission Alliance branding guidelines
- Jointly develop new initiatives with the project team to strengthen the project's results and impact
- Demonstrate openness to new ideas and a willingness to challenge traditional ways of working
- Contribute to the overall operations and goals of the project in collaboration with the project and Mission Alliance’s community development work.
- Demonstrates a willingness to try new approaches, take calculated risks, and step out of the comfort zone
- Exhibits an open and flexible mindset to explore innovative solutions
- Actively seeks out opportunities to learn and expand the knowledge
- Possesses a good understanding of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Cambodia, including its challenges and opportunities basic grasp of the regional entrepreneurship ecosystem, which is considered a plus
- Demonstrates the ability to coordinate and collaborate with local and international NGOs, private companies, and government entities
- Takes ownership of the work and responsibilities
- Displays the confidence and willingness to make decisions, when necessary, without excessive supervision
- Exhibits high levels of self-discipline and the ability to work with minimal supervision and support
- Bachelor’s degree of business management, development studies or related field.
