Initially established in 1996 as a project of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, KHANA started operating as an NGO in 1997 and was officially registered as a local NGO in 2000. Since then, it has been operating as a linking organization (LO) of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, which is now known as Frontline AIDS. KHANA is one of the leading non-governmental organizations in Cambodia that has made critical contributions to the national HIV response and other health and development related services to key, vulnerable, and underserved populations in Cambodia. KHANA’s work has been made possible through financial support from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM), the USAID through TB-LON, the L’Initiatives, the Stop TB Partnership, and Frontline AIDS.
KHANA is now in contract negotiation with the Gavi to implement its CSO engagement in Cambodia grant, aiming to reduce the zero dose in three provinces (Banteay Mean Chey, Koh Kong, and Pursat), covering 6 operational health districts. The project is being jointly implemented with PSI to accomplish the three objectives below:
- Objective 1: Improve the availability and use of behavioural and social data for routine immunisation in underserved communities, especially zero-dose children and missed communities.
- Objective 2: Co-design and implement data- and insight-driven interventions to improve public confidence and demand for vaccination among underserved communities.
- Objective 3: Advocate for sustained efforts based on data and the needs of underserved populations.
The postholder will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the project activities as listed in the approved workplan. S/he will work to provide routine support such as programming, financing, and administrative support to project field staff in the six respective operational health districts where the project is being implemented.
- Provide routinely and timely support in terms of programmatic, financial, and administrative to the field staffs in each targeted operational district.
- Work closely with the project team, including PSI team to ensure the project reaching the set objectives and targets.
- Monitor, record and report the implementation of planned activities through monthly progress review meetings, reports review, and field trips undertaken.
- Monitor project deliverables and timeliness and address the bottlenecks when necessary to maintain the ongoing and smooth implementation of project activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: public health, sociology, or other related fields.
- 3-year experiences on gender integration into health services, including but not limited to HIV, TB, SHR, public health, COVID-19, or other health-related issues.
- Ability to perform tasks independently or with minimal supervision.
