Forest Hill International School is now writing a fantastic chapter for the school in Cambodia! We approached Franklin Covey as a partner in designing, developing and implementing a leadership model for our school, which use best practices and universal principles. We provide Early Years and Elementary Programs. Our vision is to be Cambodia’s best-in-class centre of education that nurtures students to be successful, well-balanced, internationally minded and responsible citizens.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Native English Teacher to join our Early Years Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a native-level proficiency in English. The Native English Teacher will play a crucial role in fostering language development and creating a positive learning environment for young learners.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Teaching:
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate English language lessons to early years students.
  • Foster a creative and engaging learning environment to promote language acquisition.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to cater to different learning styles.
Curriculum Development:
  • Collaborate with other educators to develop and adapt curriculum materials.
  • Create and maintain lesson plans, educational resources, and materials.
  • Incorporate play-based and interactive activities into lessons.
Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
  • Assess and evaluate students' language development and progress regularly.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents as needed.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance.
Classroom Management:
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Implement classroom rules and behavior management strategies.
  • Promote positive behavior and social interaction among students.
Professional Development:
  • Stay current with best practices in early childhood education and language acquisition.
  • Attend professional development opportunities and workshops as required.
Cultural Sensitivity:
  • Foster an appreciation for cultural diversity and global awareness.
  • Create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Requirements:
  • Native English speaker or near-native proficiency in English (Female only).
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification preferred (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, etc.).
  • Previous experience teaching young learners, especially in an early years setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and empathy in working with children.
  • Creativity and adaptability in lesson planning.
  • Familiarity with early childhood development and teaching methodologies.
