Key Responsibilities:
- The primary responsibility of this consultancy role is to develop a MEAL Framework that includes:
- A clear M&E plan with defined indicators, targets, data collection and reporting mechanisms.
- Processes for incorporating accountability measures ensure stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the research cycle.
- A learning strategy to capture lessons learned and integrate them into future work.
Scope of Work:
The MEAL consultant will be expected to perform the following tasks:
- Develop a set of relevant, realistic, and measurable indicators for the Strategic Plan
- Create a detailed M&E plan, including formulating a learning strategy to identify lessons learned, best practices, and recommendations for adaptive management. ·
- Provide training and capacity-building for staff on the MEAL framework and its implementation.
- Prepare a final MEAL Framework document and user-friendly guides or manuals for implementation
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, development studies, statistics, or evaluation).
- Proven experience developing and implementing MEAL frameworks, particularly within the research or development sector.
- Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Excellent facilitation skills and experience in conducting training and capacity-building activities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team of stakeholders. · Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
