Location: Kamrieng district of the Battambang province
The Livelihood Field Officer for Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SP) will report directly to the Livelihood Project Coordinator. The Field Officer will be a cooperative member of the Goat Distribution Project Team, responsible for traveling to the assigned villages to select target vulnerable families for goat raising. They will help train in livelihood skills related to goat raising, facilitate business training to villagers, monitor project progress, and coach each household throughout the project duration.

Duration: 1 year (Renewable, subject to funding availability)
- Assist the Livelihood Project Coordinator as a reliable team member, helping the project towards achieving its goals and seeking to impact communities positively.
- Assist Livelihood Project Coordinator and other staff in carrying out surveys and assessments in the assigned villages, helping to find vulnerable families (VFs) for the Livelihood project.
- Facilitate business and livelihood skill training with creativity to target beneficiaries and continue with follow-up, monitoring, and coaching.
- Monitor the construction of goat shelter for the VFs
- Follow up with beneficiaries through monitoring and routine home visits, and provide coaching on technical topics for successfully raising healthy goats
- Lead reflection meetings with VFs to find out what went well, what did not go well, and what lessons were learned. Help create a plan for moving forward.
- Help find a supplier supplying goats, shelter, and other required resources to our beneficiaries and report to Project Coordinator for further communication and actions.
- Establish Peer-to-Peer Support Groups (PPSG) that have a common interest in improving family income through goats raising
- Train and coach PPSG leaders to play an active role in their leadership to support and encourage their group members, especially ensuring that the most vulnerable are receiving fair support and care
- Enable each PPSG leader to conduct regular PPSG meetings
- Work with PPSG leaders to monitor their group’s progress and action plan to improve and strengthen their capacity
- Build and maintain good relationships with local authorities, families, community groups, and other SP departments.
- Conduct regular field visits in the assigned villages to identify the progress, gaps, and needs, encouraging the target families to actively use their trained skills to improve their family’s income.
- Share the Gospel and form small groups for devotions in the community
- Write stories and submit photos about the project impact as requested
- Maintain organized and neatly completed forms as required
- Other duties associated with implementing the project as assigned by Project Coordinator.

- At least High School Graduated, and other skill trainings attended
- Be a creative and flexible person who can work well under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills and good team spirit
- Strong facilitation and participatory training skills
- Ability to carry out innovative training and participatory community engagement
- Experience working with community and livelihoods, especially with chicken raising
- Completed high school education with higher education preferred
- Must be able to confidently ride a motorbike (this is a mandatory requirement of the job)
- Ability to read and write Khmer; English is optional
- Experienced with MS Word and MS Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
