Teuk Saat 1001 is a NGO, established in 2007. Our main mission is to develop water kiosks in the rural communities to improve the access of safe drinking water in a sustainable manner.
The role of Teuk Saat 1001, besides developing station, is to support the entrepreneurs by providing a range of services such as technical support, monthly water quality monitoring and personalized coaching.
Today, through a network of 900 entrepreneurs, operating 300 stations, in 18 provinces, O-We (brand of Teuk Saat 1001) is serving, on the daily basis, more than 850,000 beneficiaries, including 350,000 children.
Teuk Saat 1001 as the local partner of the French non-profit 1001fontaines. 1001fontaines is also active in Madagascar, Vietnam and Myanmar.
We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position of Water Quality Lab Officer.
Directly report to: Water Quality Manager
- Routine micro-biological and physical& chemical analysis of water samples from all of the water station in the region.
- Ensure the water samples to conduct a microbiology test within 24 hours and flexible to work on holiday by using the other day for the compensation.
- Organize logistic for water sampling and analysis.
- Maintain and inventory of all laboratory equipment and lab consumables, including maintaining equipment, spare material to conduct tests etc.
- Maintain and develop the laboratory independently and with support from the Water Quality manager to ensure that the lab meets the most exacting International Standards.
- Follow-up quality documentation of laboratory as required; update procedures, instructions, equipment guideline etc.
- Conduct research activity in the lab as per request from Management
- Support and provide training to the site operators and their support staff to ensure that the water quality is maintained, both in the lab and on-site
- Report site problems identified by the water quality analysis to the Water Quality Manager, including any significant variations of the water quality standard test results, as well as corrective actions.
- Data entry into the water quality app and issue the certificate of analysis of each water station and reports to Water Quality Manger and Platform Manager.
- Has background in Chemistry, Bio-chemistry, Chemical and food science engineering, Bio-engineering, Biology or related field.
- Has experience worked in the laboratory, accredited lab, ISO 9001:2015 or equivalence.
