The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 250 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 10 nationalities and includes 5 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training.
The Medical Doctor is for International Vaccination Center.
The Medical Doctor to work as a full-time staff at the International Vaccination Center based in Phnom Penh. The initial contract is offered for 12 months contract (renewable), as staff of the Vaccination Service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the proper operation of the International Vaccination Center under the leadership of the head of the Vaccination Service Unit
- Providing consultation/medical advice on immunizations to clients according to the Standard Operation Procedures of the International Vaccination Center.
- Providing scientific advice related to immunization practice through various IPC media platforms
- Managing vaccine-related unwanted effects.
- Supporting the medical supervisor to maintain service quality and work efficacy
- Supervising the cold chain management for the storage of vaccines and immunoglobulins
- Supervising stock inventory (including vaccines) of the International Vaccination Center
- Promoting International Vaccination Center visibility and communication
- Supporting Rabies Prevention Center if needed
- Ensuring the necessary opening of the center during certain public holidays for the benefit of patients
- Cambodian nationality
- Language/skill required: English and/or French in addition to Khmer
- Starting Date: 1st July 2024
- Strong leadership and team management
- Knowledge of infectious diseases, particularly, vaccine-preventable diseases, and their prevention measured
- Experiences in outpatient consultation and vaccination
- Willing to work in immunization practice
- Good at customer service
- High spirit of ethics responsibility
- Good teamwork
- Meticulous, autonomous
- Proficiency in Khmer, English and/or French
