Swisscontact - the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation is an independent, non-profit foundation based in Zürich, founded in 1959 by leading figures from the Swiss private sector and Swiss universities. It is exclusively involved in international development, active in more than 38 countries with 120 programmes with more than 1,000 staff members. Swisscontact has been present throughout South-East Asia for more than 30 years. Swisscontact has been operating in Cambodia since 2013, establishing its office in the country in April 2016.
To support us in the project activities we are looking for a motivated Finance Officer to be a part of our team.
Job Purpose: To provide and support financial functions in the Skills Development Programme as well as the Swisscontact Cambodia Country Office to contribute to high impact performance and success of programme implementation.
Responsibility:
- Check and review Payment Vouchers (PVs) and supporting documents from staff and stakeholders.
- Work closely with Partnership Liaison Officer in providing technical accounting and financial management supports to all partners.
- Check and review financial and accounting reports and all required supporting documents from staff and all partners.
- Data posting into accounting system.
- Prepare all Payment Voucher in system when required.
- Prepare all payments to supplier and staff by cash, cheque, and bank transfer.
- Prepare cash and bank reconciliation for all project accounts.
- Collect all the necessary documents from bank.
- Ensure all financial and accounting documents are properly filed during the month and at the end of the month.
- Provide support in finding all documents requested by auditor and management.
- Perform other related tasks assigned by Senior Project Account and Director of Business Administration.
Selection Criteria:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A minimum of three years of experience in financial management systems.
- Good knowledge of accountancy software and excellent computer skills.
- Good organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player able to work in multi-cultural environments.
- Flexible and able to work independently and under pressure.
- Fluent in English (reading and writing).
