Agros provides solar-powered irrigation and soil management solutions to farmers in Cambodia and Myanmar. By combining solar-powered irrigation with improving soil health, our products contribute to improved profitability for farmers in a sustainable manner.

The position:
For our fast-growing company in Cambodia, we are looking for an enthusiastic Field Agronomy Assisatant. Besides your love for agronomy, you prefer to work in the field, supporting farmers, and you like sharing your knowledge with farmers and colleagues. You will be responsible for supporting Agros in the implementation of a new product line Agrosoil, which include soil test-based advisory services and crop management support. You will support the sales team to successfully sell these new products and you will be responsible to carry out soil testing service in the field.

The probation period will be for 3 months.
Salary will be $300 - $350 per month + Field Allowances + Incentives.

1.     Product promotion	Work closely with the sales team to promote and sell soil testing service to farmers and relevant stakeholders Organize farmer field days at pilot sites in coordination with agronomist and sales team Support with hosting partner and farmer visits and exchange
2.     Implementing soil testing service	Conduct field-based soil testing in accordance with the number of customer provided by sale team Collect baseline information from customers regarding crop production performance Preparing the soil test report for each customer under supervision of the agronomist Deliver soil test reports to each customer and ensure that they understand well how to apply fertilizer and other agriculture products correctly.
3.     Product preparation and delivery	Work with warehouse assistant to repackage fertiliser products based on soil test report Coordinate delivery of fertilizer packages and soil report to the customer location. Ensure that all terms and conditions related to delivery and payment of product are followed according to agreed timelines. Work closely with input suppliers to purchase fertilizer products for Agros customers. Support in preparing fertilizer orders, stock keeping, and preparing picklist for deliveries.
4.     Provide advisory service to customers	Provide technical assistance to the farmers during the crop cycle of the tested crop Conduct regular follow up online and in the field to farmers on crop management. Collect end line data at harvesting stage of Agrosoil customers. Keeping records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples
5.     Assist with the implementation of pilot activities and farm demonstration	Identify key farmers to pilot Agrosoil services on new crops and target markets Support Agronomist with implementation and monitoring of  pilot sites Collecting and recording crop data based on pilot requirements.  Frequently monitoring pilot sites to ensure that customers follow pilot protocol.  Identify problems regarding soil and crop health and provide appropriate solution for farmer

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture science (agronomy or horticulture).
• 2-3 years of work experience in soil and plant nutrient, pest & disease management, and crop management.
• Experience in implementing crop demonstration plots.
• Knowledge of various crops such as vegetables, fruit trees, and rice production.
• Experience in sales of agricultural inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, irrigation systems) is advantageous.
• Proficient in data collection related to crop production and agricultural products.
• Strong fieldwork skills and willingness to travel to work with farmers.
• Ability to work well with a diverse team and different staff cultures.
• Effective communication with customers and ability to provide advisory service
• Organizational skills for conducting product demonstrations and arranging group discussion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email, internet, google drive, social media
• Ability to drive a motorbike in rural areas.
• Must be a Cambodian national.
• Fair level of English proficiency required
