Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive tax research to stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and rulings, both domestically and in neighboring countries
- Draft proposed tax policies tailored to companies or local investors' needs and objectives, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maximizing tax efficiency
- Analyze neighboring countries' tax legislations to identify potential impacts on companies' businesses and provide strategic recommendations
- Manage multiple tasks and engagements simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work products
- Effectively manage CamTax members’ expectations by providing timely updates, addressing concerns, and delivering on commitments
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with members and key contacts, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters
- Lead the association's efforts on tax-related initiatives, fostering innovation and encouraging staff and member participation
- Stay abreast of professional developments in tax law and regulations, actively expanding technical competence through continuous learning and professional development activities
- Additionally, your understanding of business trends, emerging technologies, and industry developments would be ideal
Qualifications:
- Relevant higher education such as a degree in law, finance, business, economics, or commerce
- ACCA/CPA certification or degree in taxes would be positively appraised
- Five years minimum of experience working as a tax adviser or transaction advisory practitioner in a company or professional services setting
- Exceptional sense of business
- Excellent analytical and writing capabilities
- Strongly computer literacy (necessary knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and MS Excel)
- Capacity to balance conflicting priorities
- Outstanding English, both written and spoken
