O.E.I (Cambodia) Co., Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to assist with inspection/structural projects. The position will provide engineering support to the Asset Integrity Group for customer projects in heavy industrial sectors such as, Metals, Midstream Oil & Gas, Refineries & Petrochemical and/or Utilities & Power Generation industries. The position requires the Structural Engineer to perform in varying roles related to detailed engineering design and technical support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical modeling of structures and components of structures utilizing STAAD software or other structural software.
- Check inspection reports generated by inspectors.
- Produce drawings in accordance with the current industry and company standards.
- Support engineering for Orbital inspectors and provide recommendations and repair plans for critical deficiencies found in the field during inspection work.
- Assist with engineering studies, calculations, detailed design documents and specifications.
- Review calculations, drawings, and reports produced by other structural engineers or inspectors in the office.
- Develop, maintain, and upgrade technical standards/specifications to be used on specific projects, as well as centralized design basis and historical references.
- Complete all tasks in accordance with design and project execution procedures and guidelines as set forth in the corporate Project Management System.
- Manage project progress relative to project plan, schedule, and budget.
- Be able to use current computer software including general office products, design and business enterprise software. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) required – create models thru the final solution based on the project’s inputs.
- Experience with completing manual structural calculations for steel, concrete, and masonry.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- BS Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Three years of prior professional experience.
- Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and/or foundation design.
- Experience in fall protection design is preferred.
- Working knowledge of US Customary Units and STAAD analytical software or equivalent is preferred.
- Exposure to the Metals, Midstream Oil & Gas, Refineries & Petrochemical and/or Utilities & Power Generation industries is preferred.
- Written and spoken English ability at a professional and technical level.
- Native Khmer Speaker only.
- MS Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university is preferred.
