In recent years, Welthungerhilfe (WHH) has set up the Youth Empowerment Academy (YEP-Academy) in cooperation with stakeholders and individual actors in Cambodia. The YEP-Academy (http://www.yep-academy.org) is a catalyst to foster personal growth and sustainable living mindsets of young people aged 18 – 36. As an educational institution in the fight against climate change and for the preservation of biodiversity in Cambodia, the YEP-Academy pursues a natural-cultural approach based on the reality that real, lasting, sustainable, and effective change is only possible through a profound change in one's own inner attitude. Based on wilderness education and experiential education concepts, which seek to promote knowledge, attitudes and behavior in dealing with "pristine" nature as an experiential space, the YEP-Academy has a unique methodology in Cambodia. In this context, the YEP-Academy is offering diverse training and camps in diverse outdoor settings.
The YEP-Academy is seeking a proactive and impactful Marketing and Visibility Consultant to enhance the organization’s presence through innovative marketing strategies, with a specific focus on social media. The consultant is expected to set up standards and formats for marketing materials and campaigns, ensuring consistency and effectiveness. The consultant will provide direct support to the Head of Project making a significant contribution towards the success of the project.

- Marketing Strategy Development: develop a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with YEP- Academy's goals and values; identify key target audiences in Cambodia and the wider mainland Southeast Asian region and tailor marketing approaches accordingly.
- Social Media Management: engaging, entertaining and thematically suitable content on various social media platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn; implementing strategies to increase followership and engagement exponentially.
- Brand Standards and Formats: provide feedback on brand standards and guidelines to ensure consistency in messaging and visual identity; create templates and formats for various marketing materials, both digital and print.
- Content Creation: set creative and compelling content standards for marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, presentations, and newsletters.
- Website Enhancement: collaborate with the web development team to enhance the organization‘s website, ensuring it is user-friendly, up-to-date, and aligns with the marketing strategy.
- Monitoring and Analytics: implement tools to monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns; provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: work closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and partners to align marketing efforts with ongoing initiatives; seek opportunities for cross-promotion and collaboration.
- Training and Capacity Building: conduct training sessions for YEP-Academy staff to ensure a consistent understanding and implementation of brand standards and marketing strategies.
- Innovative Campaigns: propose and execute innovative marketing campaigns on core topics and related content of the YEP-Academy to increase awareness and engagement.
- Proven experience in marketing and visibility enhancement, preferably in the education or non-profit sector.
- Proven expertise and high competence in the field of social media.
- Fluency in written and spoken Khmer and English, other local and regional languages (Kuy, Mon, Cham, Thai, Vietnamese etc.) are an asset.
- Experience in outdoor settings is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of search engine optimization, trends, and analytics.
- Strong creative and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with youth engagement and educational programs is an asset.
