Description of Jesuit Service-Cambodia (JSC)
Jesuit Service-Cambodia (JSC) is a non-government organization that has been serving Cambodia since 1994 for the development and accompaniment of the villages, persons with disabilities, land mine victims, refugees, and marginalized people in society. Headquartered in Phnom Penh, it runs the Light of Mercy Home Center for children with disabilities, Children’s book publication, the MAGGA Jesuit research center, the Ruom Center for factory workers, the Banteay Prieb Center for Ecology and people with disability in Phnom Penh. It also runs the wheelchair production in Kandal Province, and the Metta Karuna centers for rural development with education and outreach in Kompong Thom, Siem Reap, and Banteay Meanchey. Xavier Jesuit School in Sisophon is also part of Jesuit Service Cambodia.
The Ecology Program began in January 2013 under Jesuit Service-Cambodia (JSC). Since then up to the present, the JSC Ecology Program has sought to collaborate with local communities and schools in Cambodia in protecting significant natural resources, Engaging the youth in increasing awareness and action in local environmental issues, and sharing information that leads to action on important environmental issues.
The community outreach officer:
We are currently searching for a highly motivated and skilled Community outreach officer to join our team. As a community outreach officer, your responsibilities will include communicating with local school partners and community partners, supporting trainers in leading ecology and agriculture workshops, and practicing tree planting with schools and community partners in the local areas.

The specific responsibilities:
- Engages with local communities to promote environmental awareness.
- Organizes workshops, events, and community-based conservation projects.
- Facilitates collaboration between NGOs and community members.
- Ensure the meeting and field visits in the target areas.
- Assist in developing an agriculture workshop with the program team for community partners and local school partners.
- Facilitate and monitor the agriculture training with community and school partners.
- Collect the data for the report, support timely reporting
- Assist the administration works (budget, advance, and clearance for expenses).
- Prepare the report for the program coordinator.

- Cambodian nationality.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resource and management, social work, agriculture, and related skills.
- A least 1 year of experience working with NGOs or relevant work in the field of cooperative development, agriculture, or education.
- Knowledge of training individuals and teams
- Familiarity with community engagement
- Strong commitment and motivation
- Willingness and ability to travel to other provinces and forests in Cambodia
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Reliable, honest, and responsible.
- Good proficiency in English: reading, writing, and communication.
- Skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Internet.
- High responsibility with flexibility and creativity.
