Position: Admin Officer (Sala Baï Hotel School)__Deadline:08-April


 Launched in 2002, Sala Baï Hotel and Restaurant school is a program created by the French NGO Agir Pour le Cambodge (APLC), to fight poverty and human trafficking through social and professional training of young underprivileged Cambodians. Each year the school trains free of charge, about 150 young disadvantaged Cambodians between 17 and 23 years old. It offers 5 different training categories in the hospitality industry: Restaurant Service, Cooking, Housekeeping, Front Office and Beauty Therapy. The Hotel, Restaurant and Spa of the school are open to the public to allow the students to practice in real conditions. With more than 2 000 ALUMNI trained, Sala Baï is recognized as a leading impact program in Cambodia.

You will be in charge of various tasks related to admin, accounting and human resources. You will work amongst a passionate team of 34 staff.

Sala Baï is seeking for a skilled professional eager to help underprivileged Cambodians to access a brighter future.

Responsible
  • Relationship with authorities (ministry and other officials): MOU, visa requests, reports, certificates, etc.
  • Interface with admin partners: Insurance, EDC, SFPDA, Bug control, water testing, etc.
  • Manage office supplies stock and place orders (student’s supplies, school books, trainer’s support material, etc.)
  • Supervise the IT equipment and be the contact point for the IT support company
  • Organize the school inventory twice per year
  • Organize a filing system for important and confidential company documents
  • Arrange travel and accommodations
  • Update office policies as needed
  • Prepare staff related paperwork: contract redaction, employment certificate, salary increase letters, staff termination, etc.
  • Prepare monthly invoice summary for the accountant
  • Prepare and send invoices to hotels and NGO partners and collect payments
  • Prepare and follow up student’s allowance payment
Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in the field of accounting, business management, administration or other relevant subject,
  • Five years’ relevant work experience with a preference for the NGO sector
Skills
  • High level of communication in formal written khmer
  • Good communication in english
  • Being comfortable to use informatic tools is necessary for this position
  • A working experience with Quickbooks software is a plus
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
