Equitable Cambodia (EC) is a Cambodian organization working to promote development which respects and protects human rights, sustainable natural resources, transparency and social justice in a democratic way. Equitable Cambodia was registered by the Ministry of Interior as a Cambodian national non-governmental organization in 2012.

The EC’s Operation Department is currently looking for the qualified candidates to fulfill the position of Community Organizing for Housing Right Program Manager, based in Phnom Penh, with frequent travels to the field. This is the full-time positions with a one-year contract and possibility for renewal.

Community Organizing for Housing Right Program Manager (1 post) Salary range: ​ $1,200  -  $1,300

The Community Organizing for Housing Right Program Manager overall responsibilities are:

  • Oversee implementation of CO Program Annual Plan in furtherance of program goals and objectives and lead strategic growth in order to deepen impact of CO program.
  • Create professional synergy and seamless programmatic integration with other EC programs.
  • Work closely with EC’s Community Organizers, both as a coach and thought partner.
  • Coordinate, collaborate, and strategize in working with Leaders and Organizers of Community Organizations in Asia and other local and international partners.
  • Communicate, build and maintain relationship and cultivate meaningful collaborations with community leaders/organizers/representatives and partner organizations.
  • Ensure all COP funds are managed transparently, effectively and efficiently, following EC financial policy.
  • Assist in fundraising through the development of grant proposals and reports, through outreach to new and existing donors.
  • Generate new program ideas and work with teams to implement and carry out programming related to local community infrastructure innovation.
  • Ensure the values of participation, empowerment, sustainability and gender equality are incorporated in all COP activities and strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate community organizing program, practices, and initiatives to ensure quality and effectiveness; make recommendations for improvement.
  • Effectively align program staff support and operations with long-term programmatic and organizational goals and expectations.
  • Create a database to track members/participants and progress towards achieving success indicators.
  • Represent Equitable Cambodia at local events, community gatherings, workshops, trainings and to community leaders/organizers/representatives, local government, and partner organizations.
  • Act as a resource for management and staff by providing technical support within area(s) of responsibility and expertise.
  • Serve on Equitable Cambodia Executive Committee and contribute to the leadership of the organization.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor degree with relevant field; law graduate is a plus.
  • Experiences in Community Organizing work from 4-5 years
  • High commitment to work with the community and honesty
  • Ability to lead and work well in the team.
  • Proficiency in English and Khmer
  • Very good skills in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with organization’s team and partners.
  • Ability to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the
  • commitment to equal opportunities.
