Operation ASHA is an INGO dedicated to deliver healthcare services to the disadvantages in community, with a particular focusing on detecting and treating Tuberculosis (TB). We Op-ASHA serve in India and Cambodia, and our care model has been replicated in parts of Africa as well.
In Cambodia, Operation ASHA receives the Global Fund Grants (GC7-Grants) 2024-2026, from the National Center for Tuberculosis and Leprosy (CENAT) and the Ministry of Health (MoH) in order to implement the C-DOTS program in providing the tuberculosis treatment in 11 provinces, 36 operational districts (OD), 486 health centers (HC), covering the population of 8,101,489, accounting for 53% of the country’s total population in Cambodia.
Operation ASHA is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
Active Case Finding Coordinator (2 Positions)
The incumbent will be based in Phnom Penh, with travelling to the project areas frequently.
Compensation: Successful candidates will be remunerated based on experience and level of competency.
Duration: Minimum 3 years commitment, full-time job, with a three-month probationary period.
- Prepare the monthly work for implementation;
- Conduct the community TB screening at the high burden community in the villages (CTS-V) in partnership with the healthcare providers on awareness-raising on TB and identify the presumptive TB patients, and refer to the health facilities for diagnosis;
- Conduct the community TB screening at the high burden community in the pagoda, mosques and churches (CTS-P) on tuberculosis awareness-raising, and to identify the presumptive TB patients, and refer them to the health facilities for diagnosis;
- Conduct the close contact investigation (CI) with healthcare providers in order to screen those who have close contacts with the bacteriologically confirmed TB patients for presumptive TB patients for diagnosis, and provide the preventive therapy treatment (TPT);
- Conduct the quarterly meeting with the village health support group (VHSG) to capacitate them on TB signs and symptoms, and prepare the plan to refer the presumptive TB patients from the community to have diagnosis at the health facilities;
- Conduct onsite supervision visits to strengthen the TB recording system at the health facilities;
- Coordinate to collect and refer the sputum samples/specimen with the health center staff, village heath support group (VHSG) to have diagnosis at the diagnostic center at the referral hospitals (RHs);
- Follow up the diagnostic results and share with health center staff for properly recording in the health center TB book (HC’s TB books) and treatment immediately;
- Follow up the all-presumptive TB patients, with VHSG, HC staff to make sure they are properly recorded and referred for diagnosis;
- Collect and collate the data from the communities and health centers;
- Enter data of the progress updates into the database system on a weekly basis;
- Prepare the M&E monthly reports to submit to the head office every month;
- Prepare the quarterly M&E reports and submit to the M&E unit on a quarterly basis
- Prepare the budget’s advance request for conducting the monthly activities;
- Clear budget’s advance request at the end of the month with the head office’s finance team;
- Represent Operation ASHA in any meeting with concerned stakeholders, as assigned;
- Coordinate with PHD tuberculosis supervisor, OD TB supervisor, and concerned stakeholders in the target areas for smooth program implementation;
- Participate in the monthly meetings with OD/RH, Pro-TWGH;
- Act on additional tasks assigned by Country Director/Program Director
Qualification
- Bachelor degree;
- The incumbents require to hold the medical doctor degree.
- Good understanding and knowledge on public health;
- 3 year-experiences with health-related field;
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point;
- Expertise in collecting and compiling data, develop report and data analysis;
- Able to work in a team setting;
- Fluency in English (written and speaking);
- Ability to drive the motorcycle in the community;
- Health-related qualification is considered with priority;
- Able to work under pressure.
