Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, hereby announces the postgraduate admission of international students, academic year 2024, as follows:
1. Available Programs
List of available Doctoral Programs, Higher Graduate Diploma Programs, Master's Programs, and Graduate Diploma Programs will be published on the website of the Faculty of Graduate Studies: https://graduate.mahidol.ac.th
2. Admission Schedule
Details of the admission schedule is attached with this announcement.
3. Qualifications of Applicants
3.1 Applicants must achieve qualifications as required by the program.
3.2 Applicants must have graduated or be expected to graduate with approval for the degree from the institution's councilbefore the start of the semester .
3.3 Applicants must have a minimum entry criteria of English language proficiency as announced by the Faculty of Graduate Studies*. The test date must be within 2 years up to the date of payment of the application fee. The minimum score are as follows :
Doctoral Programs:
MU GRAD Plus (MU GRAD TEST + Speaking Section) 40 (or)
IELTS (Academic Module) TOEFL iBT 3.0

Minimum entry criteria of English language proficiency is not required.
*The minimum entry criteria of English language proficiency of some programs may vary from the aforementioned criteria. Please check the announcement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, regarding to the minimum English score for admission, B.E 2567 at https://graduate.mahidol.ac.th.

Notes:
(1) English proficiency score mentioned in the item 3.3 is the minimum criteria for entry purpose. All students are still required to pass the English proficiency criteria for graduation before taking the thesis defense examination.
(2) Foreigners who wish to study in a Thai curriculum program must comply with the announcement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, entitle "Operative Guidelines toward the Minimum Requirements of Thai Language Proficiency for Foreign Students in Thai-delivered Graduate Programs of Mahidol University, B.E. 2564".
(3) Applicants must thoroughly review the admission requirements of the applying program. If applicants fail to meet the admission requirements, the Faculty of Graduate Studies will not refund the application fee nor return any submitted application materials.
4. Required Documents
Applicants must upload a scanned copy of following documents in PDF format with maximum file size of 2MB through the online admission system:
4.1 English Proficiency Score (as mentioned in item 3.3)
4.2 Degree Certificate I Certificate of Graduation
4.3 Academic Transcript
4.4 Photo Qpeg format)
4.5 Passport
4.6 Curriculum Vitae (CV)
4.7 Additional documents as required by each program (e.g. statement of purpose, Letter of work experience, concept paper, publication, etc.)
Notes:
• All documents must be in English version (with official translation).
• Applicants in the final year of study must obtain the graduation approval from the university council before the start of the semester.
• Submission of fraudulent documents is strictly prohibited and considered illegal. In the event of such an occurrence, the Faculty of Graduate Studies will take legal action, which may include the terminat ion of admission or student status. Consequently, application fees, check-in fees, and all tuition fees will not be refunded.
5. Number of Applications
Applicants can submit applications for multiple programs simultaneously; however, each application must be accompanied by the respective required documents and applicatio n fee.
6..Application Process
6.1 Online admission system is available at https://graduate.mahidol.ac.th
6.2 Checking qualifications and requirements as required by the program
6.3 Creating personal account for accessing the online admission system
6.4 Filling-in the online application form
6.5 Uploading all required documents
6.6 Making payment of the application fee through following methods:
6.6.1 Payment Gateway (Credit Card I Debit Card)
6.6.2 QR Payment (using a mobile banking application of a Thai bank)
6.6.3 Invoice (pay at a bank Located inside Thailand)
Notes:
• Application fee is 500 THB for each program (non-refundable).
• Applicants are responsible for covering any additional fees mandated by the bank (e.g. bank fee, transfer fees, currency exchange fees, etc.) to ensure the successful transfer of the equivalent of the 500 THB application fee to the university's account.
• For the Payment Gateway option, an additional bank fee 50 THB will be automatically included.
• Applicants must complete the online application, upload the required documents, and make the payment of the application fee within the stipulated application period; otherwise, the application will not be processed.
6.7 Taking the consideration and selection process as assigned by the program.
6.8 Application status can be tracked through the online admission system .
7. Refund of Application Fee
The application fee is non-refundable. However, applicants may request a refund
only in the case of duplicate payments made for the same application.
7.1 Applicants submit a request (within 90 days after the end of admission period)
along with following attachments:
- Proof of payment (with a certified of true copy)
- A copy of passbook (with a certified of true copy)
-A copy of valid passport (with a certified of true copy)
7.2 A copy of passbook must be a saving account of the Siam Commercial Bank, Krungthai Bank, or Bangkok Bank. The name of the account owner must be the same as the applicant.
7.3 The refund of the application fee will be transferred to the applicant's account.
However, the applicant will be responsible for any associated bank service fees or transfer fees
(if it is required by the bank).
7.4 In cases where any action needs that is not specified in this refund procedure or in the event of any disputes, the final decision will be at the discretion of the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
8. Consideration Process
Consideration process is designed and arranged by each program which may
include a test, written examination, interview, or other suitable evaluation methods.
The evaluation and selection criteria is a combination of various factors such as applicants' academic merit, expectation and purpose, standardized English score, relevant work experience, the potential for future contributions to the academic or professional fields, number of acceptable seats, financial capacity, availability of an appropriate supervisor and institution's resources, personality and attitude of the applicant, etc.
In addition, the applicant's criminal record checking with the authorized Thai government office may be conducted by the university at any stage of the admission process. Its result shall be a part of the consideration criteria for admission to Mahidol University.
9. Application Result
The status and result of the application can be tracked through the online admission system. For the successful applicants, a set of letter of acceptance along with relevant instructions will be additionally issued via email.
10. Verification of Academic Record
Successful applicants are required to request their previous university to directly verify the authenticity of their academic transcripts to Mahidol University within the specified deadline mentioned in the acceptance letter. Failure to do so may result in the termination of their acceptance status without a refund of the application fee, check-in fee, and tuition
.fees.
11. New Student Check-In
Successful applicants must complete the online new student check-in process and payment of the new student check-in fee within the check-in period as assigned by Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Those who have completed the new student check-in process but subsequently fail to complete either the course registration or the payment of the semester tuition fee within the specified period will have their student status terminated without a refund of the check-in fee or any other payments made.
