ChildFund Rugby partners to provide children and young people with opportunities to play, learn, and lead.
Through integrated rugby and life skills learning, young people from vulnerable communities develop critical social and emotional skills which help them achieve personal goals, build empathy, manage emotions, develop positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. ChildFund Rugby partners to deliver high quality, evidence-based impact and has been appointed as a Social Impact Partner for 4 Rugby World Cups to further leverage the sport to deliver social impact.
The ChildFund Rugby Team also works with sports partners around the globe to ensure that the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults in sport is a priority.
ChildFund Rugby is led by ChildFund Australia, an independent international development organisation that works to reduce poverty for children in developing communities and a member of the ChildFund Alliance - a global network of 12 organisations which assists almost 23 million children and their families in 70 countries.
KEY DUTIES
As the ChildFund Rugby Training Experience Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the quality and coherence of: i) training content; ii) training experiences; iii) training learning, and; iv) training administration.
Training Content
- Support the development of content and tools for Coach and Educator training, with content streams including sports coaching, life skills education, measuring change and administration
- Support the development of content and tools for institutional training for sports organisations, with content streams including safeguarding, financial management, project management, governance and fundraising
- Support the development of content and tools for Partner (sports organisation) staff and executive training, including partnership curriculum onboarding
- Support the development of content and tools for all internal staff training, both inside and outside the department
- Support accreditation standards/assessment frameworks for all training
Training Experiences
- Lead or support the delivery of training experiences for Coaches, Educators and Partners across all identified learning streams
- Ensure that accreditation processes are transparent, robust and documented
- Ensure all training delivery meets play-based/experiential learning training benchmarks for face to face, hybrid or online only delivery
Training Learning
- Lead or support whole of team structured reflections are undertaken and documented across agreed training experiences
- Ensure updates are documented as needed across training content and tools based on delivery experience
- Ensure lessons learned through training delivery are adopted quickly into practice
Training Administration
- Support the standardisation of, and appropriate access to, all training content and tools
- Support the availability of training content and tools in relevant languages
- Support the documentation and organisation of all training learning
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary education in a relevant field or relevant experience;
- Fluent English with additional relevant languages an advantage;
- Play-based/experiential training and education experience;
- Experience of working successfully with diverse multi-country, multi-language teams.
You are expected to remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding and Sexual Exploitation, Abuse or Harassment (SEAH) risks and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with Child Safeguarding and Prevention of SEAH Policies.
SKILLS
- Excellent communicator and trainer;
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Flexible and able to adapt to different environments;
- High levels of IT literacy;
- Effective under pressure and results-oriented;
