The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 250 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 10 nationalities and includes 5 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training.
The lnstitut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) two full time Laboratory Technicians within its Virology Unit for a 12-months contract (renewable).

Main responsibilities :
The Laboratory Technician will engage in a range of laboratory procedures and analyses within the field of virology, playing a pivotal role in supporting our research objectives.
- Conducting specialized laboratory tests including serology, molecular, cell culture techniques and analyses pertinent to virology research.
- Managing specimen processing and ensuring adherence to stringent safety protocols.
- Assisting in the development and refinement of viral diagnostic methodologies.
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment; managing laboratory inventory.
- Collaborating effectively within a team of expert scientists and researchers.
Candidate profile :
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Prior experience in a laboratory environment, with a specific focus on virology.
- Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic research environment.
- Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Power Point.
