Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation Team Lead: The Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation Team Leader will provide leadership in achieving regulation and accreditation deliverables and provide day-to-day management of regulation and accreditation activities. Under the ministry of health’s relevant strategic plans and strategic directions, the Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation Team Leader will coordinate the review of existing strategies and documents and work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement pilot innovation related to healthcare accreditation, minimum standard for licensing and relicensing, and health professional councils’ development activities. S/he will work closely with relevant Technical Working Groups and government departments, and other stakeholders to support the development of a national healthcare accreditation system based on international best practices and experience and the laws and regulations of Cambodia. S/he will provide guidance and technical support to promote sustainability and institutionalization of all interventions. S/he will collaborate with other functional teams within EQHA II to ensure harmonized work and a synergy within EQHA II’s quality improvement interventions at policy and implementation level.
Minimum qualifications:
- Cambodian National
- Masters’ Degree in public health or international health or equivalent field with at least 5 years of relevant experiences working with INGOs.
- A Minimum of a Masters’ Degree in public health or international health or equivalent field experience
- Specialized experience is required in areas including, but not limited to, health system strengthening, healthcare accreditation, health professional licensing systems, health program design, management and implementation, and program data management.
- Minimum eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in designing, implementing, and managing health programs in developing countries.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, program management, strategic planning, policy experience, and problem-solving skills working on complex projects in a highly sensitive environment are required.
- Skills people manager to support staff for optimal productivity and joy in work.
- Knowledge of and experience working in the Cambodian health system.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, create and maintain effective relationships with government personnel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Khmer.
- Experience working with national counterparts in Cambodia in the healthcare sector.
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft office suite software, internet and email.
- Ability to take initiative and ownership, take decisive action based on data and clear criteria, work proactively and independently, manage activities, set realistic priorities and plan for the successful implementation of programs.
- Be innovative, positive and cheerful personality, and highly self-motivated.
- Adaptable and flexible in a variety of tasks contributing to work even outside of Job Description as required.
