Overview
WaterAid Cambodia was established in 2014 and has an ambitious plan to work with various stakeholders to support the sector's aim of reaching universal access to sanitation and water in Cambodia by 2025. WaterAid Cambodia’s program is based on influencing and making change happen by supporting the government to strengthen the system that leads to sustainable service, inspiring the next generation of WASH leaders by building human resources, especially women and promoting collective action and building bridges between sectors by using innovation and adaptive approach.

WaterAid is implementing a WASH and Health program with the general mission of supporting the government to improve the quality of care in healthcare facilities through people-centred care approach. As part of the WASH and Health program, the Water and Sanitation for Health Facilities Improvement Tool and user-friendly WASH facilities tool are being implemented in Kampong Chhnang province to align with the national quality improvement program. Through the routine national quality improvement program, this project works closely with the provincial health department and operation district staff to build more capacity in infection prevention control and WASH.
Key Accountabilities
Support WASH and Health team delivering activities at health centres and hospitals in the target provinces.
Monitor infrastructure construction and renovation of health centres in the project and work closely with the construction committee to ensure the quality of the construction.
Work and coordinate with health centres to deliver all project activities.
Support the WASH and Health team and Learning Effectiveness and Communication team designing health education on WASH in healthcare facilities to target groups.
Take a role as documentation for the program team, such as program administration support in producing case studies, photo stories, and short videos for internal and external use. This work will receive guidance from the Learning Effectiveness and Communication team to follow WaterAid communication guidelines.
Obtain learning opportunities from the WASH and Health team and other teams across WaterAid Cambodia.
