THE ROLE
As a Social Worker, you will be based in Siem Reap where our Kaliyan Mith program is located. Your role will be prvoide psychosocial support to children, youth, their families and their communities. This includes providing support to children and youth to get protection, emergency medical care or counseling support. You will also be building strong relationships with the local authorities, networking with NGO partners and working with the communities to ensure that children are safe and taken care of. This is a great opportunity for someone who has Social Work experience and is willing to grow more in providing holistic services to jump on board and start working alongside a multidisciplinary team of Kaliyan Mith Siem Reap counting more than 70 #EverydayHeroes!

- You are a dynamic team player who is passionate about working with marginalized children, youth and their families
- You have a strong commitment to work directly with marginalized children & youth and their families
- You have some experience in the field work of social service provision
- You’re open to and excited by learning and adapting to new situations
- You can speak/write in English language and use Microsoft Office and Internet
These would be examples of some of your daily responsibilities.
- Doing outreach in the field such as streets, communities, and connecting with those who need medical social services and psychosocial support
- Working together with communities to ensure children and youth are safe from any type of abuse
- Support families and children to safely continue their education and enroll into public schools
- Provision of Life Skills education on topics such as reproductive health, nutrition and parenting
- Providing counselling and psychosocial support to families, children and youths you work with
- Building strong relationships with local authorities, NGO partners, schools to make sure everyone is working together
- Coordinating with the team to make sure action plans are running well for individuals and families through regular information sharing and support
- Keeping track of activities and preparing reports so you can measure and improve the impact of your work
