2. Swisscontact

3. MetKasekor
The MetKasekor is built on the premise on the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (PDAFF) providing the initial identification of and training of farmers and service providers. Currently, the objective of MetKasekor Model is to promote Conservation Agriculture which is a modern production which is being practiced and piloted among smallholder farmers in Cambodia.
4. Assignment and Objectives
4.1 Assignment
Swisscontact is recruiting a field consultant (project assistance) to support Preah Vihear PDAFF officer in implementing the usage of MetKasekor Mobile Application in Krong Preah Vihear and Rovieng district which is the targeted district of the project. The consultant will also collect information and feedbacks for Swisscontact team for improvement of the MetKasekor IT platform.
4.2 Objective
The objectives of the assignment are:
A. To support and work with PDAFF officer in Preah Vihear to implement the usage of MetKasekor Mobile Application and Web Application.
B. To collect relevant data and gather feedback on the MetKasekor Mobile Application from conducting test at the field and provide the feedbacks on regular basis to Swisscontact team.
C. To support other works under the implementation of MetKasekor Model in Preah Vihear Province.
5. Scope of Work
Task 1: Prepare all the work to ensure the usage of MetKasekor mobile application throughout the implementation phase of MetKasekor Model including but not limit to Farmer Profile Registration, Event Farmer Registration, Agriculture Cooperative Registration.
Task 2: Work with PDAFF Preah Vihear daily to improve the efficiency of the MetKasekor IT Platform (Both Mobile Application and Web Application).
Task 3: Attend meetings with Swisscontact team to provide feedback and updates for the improvement of MetKasekor IT platform.
Task 4: Attend all the events and stages of MetKasekor Model implementation in Preah Vihear and hand on using the IT platform.
Task 5: Support PDAFF Officers in any other work related to MetKasekor Model implementation per assigned.
Tasks 6: Travel to target areas in Rovieng district to conduct interviews and collect data of farmers.
Task 7: Collect relevant data through MetKasekor Mobile Application throughout all the phases of MetKasekor Model
6. Deliverables
- Weekly update and monthly workplan
- Monthly progress report
- Data collected and stored on the platform (both mobile and web applications)
7. Duration and timing of assignment
The position will start on 01 November 2023 to 31 Dec 2023 with possible extension.
8. Requested skills set
- Must have a good understanding of technology, especially with using mobile applications.
- Have a decent internet connection and electronics devices such as laptop or mobile phones
- Have a committment in traveling back and forth between Rovieng district and Krong Preah Vihear.
- Have basic knowledge and skills in using internet, emails, Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.
- Individuals with previous experiences working with farmers are encouraged to apply.
- An ability to use English is a plus.
- Individuals with previous experiences working with farmers, university students and fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
