In preparation for the effective execution of next Strategic Plan 2024-2026, Phase IV “Collective Actions Against Corruption (CA2C)”, TI Cambodia is recruiting a dynamic and highly qualified Anchor to join our dynamic team.
Having recognized key challenges facing Cambodia, particularly widespread corruption and shrinking civic space, TI Cambodia will launch and execute a “Tres Ris (Critical Thinking) Digital Education Programme” to maximize the use of social media specifically Facebook and YouTube to keep the public informed of issues of public concerns.
2. Overall Goal:
TI Cambodia is looking for a consultant, preferably female, to join its dynamic team as an anchor for 3 Tres Ris investigative story videos to present and narrate the stories. All qualified and interested applicants shall submit a current CV and professional portfolio, and a cover letter expressing their potential and reasons why they are the most suitable candidate for the role to recruitment@ticambodia.org.
3. Objective
The project comprises two main components: “Tres Ris (Critical Thinking) investigative story videos” and “The Conversation”. Tres Ris aims to raise public awareness and inform the public about corruption related issues, freedom of expression, democratic governance and rule of law, and Human Rights in Cambodia, and to promote youth and women engagement in policy making process pertaining to their civic and political rights.
4. Roles and Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for the following deliverables:
Collaborating with producer to prepare script for each video
Planning and drafting script concept for 3 video stories
Conducting interview with key stakeholders
Presenting and anchoring in the videos
Researching and analyzing relevant footages/images/news/visual sources to supplement the story
Assisting the video production team in arranging shooting set, flow, and subtitles
Developing and coordinating field filming schedule and location
5. Required Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:
The consultant is required to possess:
Demonstrated good understanding of news presentation and interview techniques
Articulate speaking and presenting skills
Good command of Khmer language and clear enunciation
Sound knowledge of English to assist with subtitles
Good knowledge of video production flows, concept, story narration and scene setting
Demonstrated ability and skills in presenting before a camera
6. Type of supervision and station
The consultant must work closely with and under supervision of the communication unit for the whole duration of the contract.
The consultant must contribute to team work and assignment with producer and anchor to produce quality deliverables for the programme.
