Position: Finance Assistant for Zone

THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

WVI-C works to empower our staff and the communities we serve to take part in building a better future for Cambodian children. The communities World Vision works with, with long-term Area Programmes (APs), across Cambodia are normally based on geographical districts within a province.
The position will provide support and guidance to all the staff based in the Zonal office and to the AP finance on cashiering service, produce financial reports, technical support on the filling system, and also help the capacity building of the AP finance.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance to the financial standards of the zone office.
- Provide financial support and guidance on financial and accounting transactions for the AP/project.
- Provide support for the cash and banking functions on daily basis to AP/project/zone.
- Accountable for finance data record and system for the whole zone (eg: Sun System, Concur).
- Generate accurate monthly financial reports with timely submission.
- Ensure financial risk management and control systems are established and used effectively to avoid significant financial risk for both, WVI Cambodia projects and partners.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in core accounting and finance especially with budget, financial system, and grant requirements.
- Experience in NGO setup, development organization, charity, school.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint) and other financial packages.
- Knowledge of accounting systems i.e. Sun System 6, GEMs (Concur).
- Technical knowledge in accounting, systems, policies, procedures, financial budgeting, local tax (VAT, Withholding Tax), and donor requirements (Grant).
- Planning, Organizing, Analytical, Team Player, Communication, and Customer Service Skills.
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Must be willing and able to travel to the field offices up to 30%.
